OH REALLY? I HAVE TO PUSH? i never thought of that!
dude, i'm pushing as far as i ****ing can. as previously expressed, it's flexing at the hinge. when in the bottom shelf, it's hitting the back and the front folder won't compress anymore. in this video, i only have one hand but off camera, i've tried with excessive force to compress it in there more.

and after the hinge breaking in my previous RS4, i know how much of a headache it is to break a glovebox hinge (ie. replace glovebox door).

obviously i wasn't persistant in my search. i've already said that if it effects you that much that a new thread was created and that i admit to only doing a title search and not full subject search, then go cry about it to an admin.

have pushed harder and harder.. stilll not fitting. if i had a gopro and headmount, i'd give you a wonderful POV of me forcing it in with all my strength... and that footage will still show you the same outcome. it doesn't fit.

err, this whole thread is about me trying to get it to fit. so err the 'want' is very much existent.

edit: actually, no it isn't. as previously mentioned, i've actually relocated it into the boot above the spare wheel where it's nicely out of the way leaving the glovebox to store more useful things.

When I bought my 2011 C63, the Mercedes salesman instructed me not to even try fitting the manuals in the glove box; just put them in the trunk.

When I bought mine it was IN the glovebox

Mine fits very easily. no problems here. perhaps your leather case is too big.

Maybe... mine wasn't in the glovebox and he made a point of handing it to me and suggesting the trunk. Perhaps for added weight over the rear tires? Better than a sand bag?

Oh snap there's a bottom section too? I'm going to find more crap to stuff in there haha. All this time I've only been using the top half of the glovebox LOL!

Mystery solved, we definitely have different gloveboxes. I don't have a 12V plugin up top, and there is no way those books are fitting in the bottom section of mine, as it's much smaller and shallower. I'm guessing the changes were made for the 2012+ facelift.


Now we just need a LHD pre facelift car to try the same thing on video.

Dude the depth of my top section is a LOT less than my bottom section. If anything, i thought mine would go in in the bottom. There is zero chance of it going in the top and you can CLEARLY SEE this in my video as I highlight where the rear of the top shelf is.

Don't know what 'a lot' is but mine is maybe 2-3" depending on measurement reference points

Mine fits in the bottom but is close to the hinge or arc of the door
