Coupe P88 Edition 1
Alright guys I'm in the process on working a deal with a dealership in southern Florida on a 2012 coupe with the p88 option, Matte black paint etc. I am yet to see the car in person but the sales guy will not send me clear pics to save his life. He's got a ****ty phone one second, the next his ipad can't zoom in. One thing after another.
It's a 2012 with 12k miles for $58k. It apparently has some scratches on the back bumper and I'm assuming some rock chips on the front although he claims it's in great condition. Apparently the rims are getting refinished and they pulled a small ding from the door. Clean carfax and always serviced. Think it's worth the price? I'm just super meticulous and would think about having the whole bumper redone to look perfect. It's an off lease vehicle, this will be my first amg. I'm assuming these things are bulletproof and it's a CPO just worred cosmetically more then anything

I would push hard for fresh images specially after the wheels are being refinished could mean the wheels were curbed up.

I can only upload a pic at a time, but yes there was curb rash on the rims. Apparently not bad but enough that they are refinishing them... Anything to look out for??

MBPit, that seat is a common issue as mentioned above, mine is also a 2012 and looks similar to that. If I was closer south I would have taken a trip down and snapped some photos for you. I personally think it is a good deal, maybe you could get it down a tad bit more.

FWIW, I sold my Edition One coupe for 58.5k back in December with only 9500 miles on it and it was in pristine condition. Dealers ask for a premium since they are somewhat rare, but there really wasn't that much of a demand for it at the time.

Good luck fixing the rock chips and scratches. Matte paint can't be spot painted, needs a full respray of the pieces, and is notoriously tough to match.
If you're meticulous you're going to hate matte paint.

WHATS UP GUYS? HOPEFULLY EVERYONE'S DOING FINE AND YOUR CARS ARE STILL IN SHAPE. JUST GOT THE EDITION 1 2012 63 WITH THE MATTE BLACK AND ALL THAT, PRETTY ****IN STOKED. ONLY 50K MILES ON IT AND COSMETICALLY, CAR LOOKS GREAT. ANYTHING SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR? THE ENGINE IS THE LATER MODEL SO NO HEADBOLT PROBLEMS. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?
