I live in Baytown, about 10 min from Royal Purple, I've also been trying to get some AMG owners together but haven't had any luck. We should do a meet soon.

The Houston AMG groups usually has a GTG the Sunday before labor day. Check the facebook page for updates. We have been doing this for last 4 years. This year it will be on 08/31/2014

Next Houston SCCA autocross is coming up this weekend - Sunday Sept 14 at Gulf Greyhound track, at exit 15 on the Gulf Freeway (1000 FM 2004 Rd, La Marque, TX 77568). See http://www.houscca.com/solo/index.php for more info. If the weather's not bad, I'm planning on being there. Anyone else?

Hey Houston folks - odd request but hoping it doesn't hurt to ask... posting to C63 forum at the suggestion of a member in the E63 forum since it has more traffic. I'm looking at buying an E63 from Momentum West BMW in Houson but i'm in CA and unable to view it in person. Searching for a good samaritan and/or asking a favor....Are any of you close to this dealer and willing to check the car's condition for me? It has 90% of the things i've been looking for the past 6mo and i want to pull the trigger but buying out of state and spending a lot of dough worries me. Things like "smells like smoke shop" and "tons of swirls and nicks" are not listed in the description and i can't tell from the pics they sent me
