Mode Carbon, are a complete disgrace to the specialist motor industry, he is very happy to take peoples money in advance in my case over one and a half a year I have been waiting for carbon fibre parts to arrive for both my C63 and E63s. This is not the way to run a business, he has ridiculous excuses after excuses, the latest now being that he was arrested for 21 days?? Well, you should not break the law! His tenants have kicked him out of his property, he has no transport as his licence was revoked by the police. Your customers simply want their money back for the goods they have paid for, I am seriously now thinking about taking legal action against him, he is a one-man bandit if anyone would private message me and we can get a lawsuit initiated against him. I am so shocked why others are not complaining, and this crook is allowed to basically run off with forum members hard-earned cash and fail to deliver the goods they ordered.
This guy is a scam artist using various excuses after excuses regarding delayed carbon fibre orders, I have placed several orders with him over a year and a half ago and am still waiting for the items to arrive?
He tells me that he has mental health problems due to several car accidents, has been arrested , has been evicted from his property by his landlord, yet is still taking members orders via his website, and purchasers never receive goods despite paying the full amount upfront.
I just want others and all forum members to be aware of this company and stay well away, if you are based in the UK I can recommend you an alternative trusted supplier.
Agree with this sadly - good looking products and well marketed, but my first 507 Hood vents were warped and replacement took months.... and that set with only a few months of garaged care were cracked and warped.... and no response to my inquiry on warranty or even pro-rata replacement....

I have got a set of these also for my C63 (not via Mode carbon), do yours sit within the housing in the hood correctly as I have installed a Wiestec stage 3 supercharger and I think the additional heat generated is causing them to move and thus damage the paintwork around the housing of the vents in the hood.
This guy has serious problems at the moment and I don't think he will replace them as he should, I don't know where he obtains these parts from as other suppliers don't hold the same quality stock.
I have just received a WhatsApp message from him asking me to take my post about his company on this forum down, made me laugh!!

contact your credit card company. This guy is a joke not sure how he is still a vendor. Mbworld continues to let forum members get scammed by this guy.

Please send us images of the issues that you were experiencing.
If the emails were within 1 year of purchase you are entitled to a warranty replacement.

Because I ordered and paid for mine LAST MARCH in 2021 and still have yet to receive them.
I finally was frustrated with all of the " we plan to ship them next week" emails so I called and disputed the charges on my CC.
So if they are in stock.... Happy to have them shipped to me via COD if you want.

These hood vents 'look' nice, but I wouldn't know as I never received mine!
After being a bit leery of Mode Carbon and his ability to actually deliver products, I inquired about availability of these hood vents prior to placing an order this past summer. His response was:
We have a few sets finishing up in the paint department as we speak. Standard manufacturing lead-time is currently 1-2 weeks from the date of purchase.
So in early September I placed the order and he immediately replied:
Hello,
Thank you very much for your business!
We will have your order shipped out next week!
Best Regards, Sam
The very next day I received an email titled "Your Mode Carbon order is now complete" and a tracking # was sent although the order had yet to actually ship. Knowing that lead time was about 1-2 weeks from date of order to shipment, I figured I'd give it a couple weeks. After exactly 3 weeks and no communication from Sam, I asked him for an update. About a week later he finally replied:
Your order is currently in production and I will have a ship date for you very soon.
Little over a week later I hadn't received the order nor heard from Sam so I inquired yet again and his response the following week was:
Your order is now in the final stages of production.
I will have a ship date for you very soon and thank you very much for your continued patience.
Another 2 weeks goes by without an update or any movement on the tracking # so I send yet another message and this time Sam responds within a couple days:
Your order has been finished and your tracking will be sent to you this week.
Thank you so much for your patience and have a wonderful evening.
At the end of that week, you guessed it, no tracking, no response, no product and no refund, which I was clear about in my final email - if he can't prove order was shipped then refund my money. To this date, he's not refunded my money or shipped the order!!

For those who have not have had the distinct displeasure of ordering and dealing with Sam, I suggest doing a quick internet search or searching this site for reviews to better understand what you'll endure once you place an order.

My time frame and the email responses I received from them is identical to yours. It's understandable that a business runs into delays or have issues with production, especially after 2020. But, they need to be communicated and explained to customers. This vendor has been ignoring all inquires and only response with vague comments when pushed hard publicly.
