the F80 already has pretty high boost and may have momentary overboost
perhaps that is why some readings on ramp or mass acceleration dynos read higher than rated power

mean effective pressure ~ comp ratio x boost pressure ratio x vol eff
M = (3 l x 61 ci/l) (10.2 x 14.7 psi x ((14.7+18.1)/14.7) x 1 vol eff) / (4 Pi 12 in/ft)
M = 406.0 lb ft the exact rating of the M3/4
vol eff =1 or perfect for a forced induction engine

E90 M3, F80 M3, C63 507, F90 M5
Both those cars are owned by ModeCarbon. They lined them up but the driver on c63 had a bad start. I will let ModeCarbon chime in on this as they were driving these cars. I do want to note that the M3 was a manual and driven by a EX PRO RACER. I was at the event and witnessed this. Hope this clears some things here...

Ah yes, the videos are starting to surface. Yes, these are both of our shop cars. As you mentioned, the C63 had a bit of a bad start. Not to take away from the F80 though because that thing is next generation fast, especially with our Stig at the wheel. By the end of the day it was taking down supercharged E92's, for reference. The trap speeds tell the real story here, as the C63 started from behind.
what does the 10.x time represent?
what was the starting speed? (we know they finished ~136 mph)

they travelled 1/2 mile in 10+ sec at an average speed of (136-60)/2 ~ 98 mph (144 ft/sec)?
1/2 mile or 2640 ft / 144 ft/sec ~ 18+ sec ???
even at constant 136 mph a 1/2 mile would take 13+ sec, far more than 10
but these cars accelerated from 60 to 136 range so avergae speed is closer to 100
the M got the jump and pulled out a nice gap
then the gap closed and traps ended up ~1 mph delta
time delta 0.6 sec or so
also this would imply both cars could accelerate 0 to 136 in 14 sec or so, basically 60 to 136 = 10.x sec + 0 to 60 ~ <4 sec
no way can that be accurate?
