What is the context??
The speeds were within 1 mph
Time 0.6 sec


Looked like the M had a jump on it and the AMG was reeling it in
The gap was getting smaller

There is no way a 425 HP crank car made over 500 wheel
It makes 375 at the wheels according to rototest
They do a 12 step test 5 sec measurement at each step
ISO and DIN certified
They are not a tuner but an independent testing authority
To go from 375 to over 500 is a >33% gain
That means they cranked the boost up st least 6 psi
Good luck with warranty and longevity
You 're going to need the warranty ... BANG!!!!

Stock C63's have run that
And the AMG is at least 400 lbs heavier

BMS (famous for 335i tuning) got their hands on one and I think the dyno below speaks for itself. Tune only+E50

At least according to a non- vested third party ISO/DIN CERTIFIED TESTING AGENCY

Yeah that F80 is going to be a tuners dream car! Will be a monster for sure when modded! And if anyone questions Burger, don't! Burger knows their s*it when it comes to BMW's!

Both those cars are owned by ModeCarbon. They lined them up but the driver on c63 had a bad start. I will let ModeCarbon chime in on this as they were driving these cars. I do want to note that the M3 was a manual and driven by a EX PRO RACER. I was at the event and witnessed this. Hope this clears some things here...

They do tend to fly a little under the radar, but if you are a BMW enthusiast of any kind and into modding, you would for sure know who Burger Tuning is. They are pretty knowledgeable on the BMW platforms.

3 generations of M3's plus a few M5's

Its ok buddy you dont have to google about burger tuning. Yes there have been cases where the engine has gotten messed up. But i have plenty of friends that have had their factory stock engines blow up on their mustangs and other american cars.

Without that the video is meaningless beyond:
About even at start(?)
M gets jump...pro driver vs bad start
AMG reels it in
Delta time 0.6 sec out of 10+
Delta velocity 1 mph out of ~136
M is 400 lbs lighter and purportedly delivers more power whp 400 vs 380 (modded)

What can we deduce from this?

To any new M owner: congrats. But my car has an exhaust that doesn't need to be played on the stereo.

At the end of the day, nothing from BMW stirs my blood. Whatever happened to "the ultimate driving machine?" M is for marketing.

Ingenieur, I appreciate your search for factual data, but there's a real trend : the new M3/4 is severely underrated from the factory. I don't know how, why, how come some magazines have it tied with the C63 507, but those are real world proofs.

BTW here's another video where you can see the old vs new M3 on a (heartbreaking) dyno:

Check at mark 6.28 to see how much more power the new gen makes compared to the old gen.
