Big MIR Rental Saturday Nov. 22nd BCB Rental

I just reserved both lanes at MIR on SATURDAY November 22nd for us to go racing! Should be the nice cold temps with negative DA that everyone talks about aka the MIRacle track lol. I've negotiated it down to $100/car and $10/spectator. Track is open from 9am to 5pm. One lane for drag radials/slicks and one lane for street tires. Who's in?

Man I have been fighting off getting new wheels for a while now as I love the oem 18's. But this may be the straw that breaks the camels back! If I get new 19's then I will put slicks on my 18's for tracking.

If I pull the trigger, I will be here. Sounds like a blast.

Md in avg is prob 15 deg warmer than NY in the winter and may see snow flurries a few times a year but typically wont lay. Lived there for 2 years and didnt see much at all.

It will be cold but that's good for racing. The lower the DA, the mor epower your car makes Hopefully no precipitation. I've been doing this every year for several years now. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate but that's just nature. Fingers crossed!

Yeah I will say! Everyone on here is a bad influence! Lol
Because slicks and tracking don't happen until I put a few g's in an LSD!

Don't know much about winter in MD. I know that the cold is good but there is also a point where it can be dry but too cold for certain tires. You'd really have to warm them up.

Either way, sounds like something that'll be fun! 1/4 mile drag in flurries! bring it

Yes, notice I said power not traction. The key is excellent track prep when the temps get cold. I've done rentals in December and this was the first weekend available. MIR has excellent track prep and elevation is near 0. If it is below freezing or if there is precip of course we will cancel but the rewards are worth the risk. we just have to get mother nature to cooperate so everyone can get their personal best times.

Lol no racing if there is any precip

blackbenzz weather looks good for this Saturday. Cant wait

I have a question, am planning to drive Friday night and looking for a hotel nearby (within 1 hour from the track) so do you know any that you would recommend?

Thanks

I live in La Plata which is about 30 minutes from MIR. Most people stay at these two for the big races:

Yea hopefully the forecasters are right this time!

Not much close to the track but see the ones below. If you want a nice hotel you're gonna have to drive alot further from the track (DC area). See you in a few days

Yup these are pretty much the only places that are relatively close to MIR to stay and aren't motels etc. MIR is in the middle of nowhere.
