that is odd. since they're just coated plastic parts I'm guessing that single piece may have been manufactured differently. Not sure anything with the MAF sensor underneath could be related as your car should spit an error code if it was faulty. I'm guessing it was just a different manufacturing batch.

Did you buy the car new or used?
If used the original owner may have had the pass side replaced making it look newer.
My new ROW lids are nice and clean and engine cover and both MAF covers are a bit discolored like yours.

I bought it used. Who knows what it went through in the three years of prior ownership. Guess I would like to clean it. Not sure what to use to be honest. I mean it's plastic and silver but I have an incredible talent at taking one problem, try to fix it, and then make it a whole lot worse.

you could try simple green, too. I think it's pretty inert, IIRC, as a cleanser. Many common household cleaners can have ammonia or bleach in them, which might not be a problem, but not sure so just throwing it out there.

The force is strong in you too, huh?
Once, I had sap on the hood of my new Prelude. Long story short, by the end of the weekend I needed a new hood. You can fill in the blanks.

That's solid. I once went to help a friend replace the cam shaft in his Honda, with worn lobes. Long story short, by the end of the weekend he needed all new valves. Ditto with the blanks. At least that one wasn't my fault (he moved it off of TDC, the moron...)

I love cars, but if it ain't at harbor freight, chances are it isn't in my tool bag. So you can imagine that that might leave something to be desired when it comes to working on an AMG.
But I'll tell you one thing, in my mind I feel like an F1 master tech when I'm in the parking lot under my car and the neighborhood blond comes jogging by. Little does she know, I'm still looking for the battery.......
Kidding......found it when looking for the spare. You can imagine my surprise. It was like a Dr. Evil moment when I discovered that awesomeness of street car innovation at 11am today. Monster battery in the trunk.....I think AMG might be on to something here with weight distribution. I think I'll email them to give them an attaboy. I can just picture one of the four million Deutch Land AMG engineers shaking their head thinking "Simple Americans".
You don't think they'd force a repo because I'm not worthy do ya?

I just realized something. I think I'm the American version of Jeremy Clarkson without the money, driving ability, and need for a prostate exam.
But I'll tell you one thing. I'd be a lot more entertaining than Tanner Foust. That man child Tofer Grace looking sob can drive, but he's not entertaining and never will be. Voice of a child in a constant state of puberty too.

The UK Top Gear guys are OK. I've become more of a Fifth gear myself, simply because I find the hosts the least detestable, even though they cover less of the high-end, awesome rides.

I haven't seen fifth gear. I've heard of it, but haven't been able to catch a show. I agree. Our America Top Gear lacks good hosts and creativity. They just copy stuff and it seems so canned. I like Adam. He"s truly a funny guy. The other two are horrible and I don't think a pro race car driver should be on the show. The competitions are predictable and Tanner's over competitive nature to win everything is lame. We get it, the man boy knows how to drive....
