Someone may want to correct the people over at Auto Evolution. Clearly they have their facts wildly incorrect on this M3 being the "fastest"...

I read it, the 820hp finishes the 1/4 in 11 flat @~130. The are NA C63's quicker than that, I won't even bring up the CTSV. Fastest my...

The trap speed tells you what would happen from a roll and since you're alleging that traction was an issue here, you can deduct a couple mph from the "820hp" M3's 133. There are NA C63's that match/beat both the ET and trap. So, "smoking" not so much.

"... smoke ANY NA C63..." was the statement made. NOS, or not, Dad's C63 did that run, less FI. It was a well built, reliably fast, dd.

Nos don't count in my books. It's just not something that can be used whenever the car is running, fake to me. Dad's car was one of the sickest c63s on the planet though and I think he could have done lots more with that car. He did a lot of road course so a blower wasn't an option.
Dodgers car was fast, but he had 500lbs removed from it, stero, AC, tons of stuff. Don't think you could even drive it on the street in race trim, but I could be wrong. Big difference comparing a car with the spare tire and a seat out to how dodgers was in race trim, apples to oranges.
Not tying to take anything away from the run, but it's very deceiving comparing that cars runs because of the heavy weight removal. It wasn't making crazy power, about 600 if I remember. Still a **** load of work to removal all that weight and practice to hit those launches. But I'm sure if that m3 removed that much weight things would be a different story.
There is no secret sauce here, it's power vs weight...

Exactly Nitrous is FAKE incredibly SHORT term power, once it's empty after few good runs guess what it's down 200 or more whp & not very special. Point made by Merc63 is valid & main reason I hate Nitrous, anyone can buy a relatively cheap kit & strap it to any car & run really fast w/little time/practice. Adding a Puffer or Turbs is different it doesn't loose 200 hp after bottles empty..

I went 9.1 @155mph in my CLK, however it is not a sedan.
Whomever wrote that artical is an idiot. Stage 2 Weistec C63 sedans are running high 10's, Stage 3's are going low 10's.
