New owner... with a damaged outer grille

Hey guys just picked up a 09 C63 on Saturday. Today i was checking out the front when i discovered that there's a hole in the lower right (passenger side) grille. I already found the part and everything, but was wondering if i need to remove the WHOLE front bumper to pop in the new one?

No you don't need to remove the front bumper. You can do it by removing the plate underneath with the car jacked up.
Hummm but now that I realized yours is on the passenger side you might watn to remove the bumper to do it properly. As on that side you have a ducting that guides the air through the oil cooler and it connects with the bumper cover. So not enough space to slide a grill from under.

just an irrelevant thought... that hole looks perfectly cut open, I wonder if the previous owner had some sort of cold air induction or something. is there anything behind there like that?

Funny you ask because my girlfriend said it looked like a round cut, but the picture is deceiving. I'm pretty sure it was hit by some sort of rock or road debris.
