CF Wing Mirror Problem
Hi, I bought a set of CF mirror covers. However, I am having trouble removing the light strip off the original to transfer to the CF mirror.

It only seems to open on one side.

2012 C63 AMG
I just did this mod. Remove the two screws from the light strip. Undo the two clips. The ends of the blinker light strips are glued to the mirror cover. I gently pulled until is could separate the strip from the glue. A hair dryer helps.

You need to remove the screws and heat up the middle part which goes into the blinker. It's glued on with double-sided tape.

Is it fairly easy to remove the lens on the 08-09 mirrors once the cover is off?

Yes, it's just screws and double-sided tape. Very easy, just ne careful no to break any brackets.
