Why no dead pedal?
AMG forget? I like having something to plant my left foot on. Instead, my 11 C63 has a soft floor board. 
My C350 had a nice one.

I bought one for like $90 IIRC. I can't remember where I got it though. I would just search "dead pedal" and the one most people use should come up.

maybe MB took the luxury aspect too far with their carpeted dead pedal. I'm sure the feeling of carpet between our toes is better than cold aluminum with little rubber nubs.

I wondered the same thing a few months back. But I did get some weathertech floor matts that totally protect/ cover my carpet so it didnt matter now.
