Was there a limiter at 200? It just stopped pulling at exactly 200. Pretty cool though.

And smash into somebody making a lane change not anticipating a car going 200+ is coming up on it.
Cool? Sure. But so ****ing dumb.

Its on the Autobahn in Germany so quite common and completely legal......unless all the Germans are dumb along with everyone else that uses the Autobahn.

^ If that is the autobahn that is pretty cool, as mentioned.
Wouldn't the measure of choice then be Kph? I'm so down for going 200 but it just seems weird (to me) to be doing it while passing people. I'd like to be alone on the road for sure.

He asked the customer while he was on the Autobahn to see what it would do.
And to be fair the Autobahn looks very quiet and its not as if its nose to tail.
However i agree if it was busy then the effect of a crash at those speeds would be horrific.

The standard of driving on the Autobahn is probably the best i have seen in all the country's i have driven in.
Everyone on the Autobahn is aware that on certain sections there is no limit so everyone keeps a safe distance and follows good lane discipline.
Obviously if its busy you slow down to a more sensible speed.
However, l can understand how an initial reaction would be WTF. But it is really quite normal on the Autobahn

I was on the autobahn once. I was in a medical bus after I was hit by an IED in Afghanistan and I'm glad my bits of memory started to come back by then because I remember an R8 going by at what seemed to be light speed compared to the bus.
It was quite the interesting experience indeed

Not just you. But its going 180+ with a stage 3 supercharger trying to shift.
I'm not all that surprised.

CLS55 AMG Weistec 3.0l
Guys, I was the driver and as pointed out, it was on a derestricted section of the Autobahn with minimal traffic
The blip at 177-183mph seemed to be fuel related during shift from 6th to 7th. Once it sorted itself out it kept pulling. At 200mph (322kmh the smaller number) the speedo reading froze but the revs climbed another 450rpm so estimated speed of around the 210/211mph mark.
The transmission has been worked on by Weistec and power is approx 640rwhp. No cooling mods and no other modifications as of yet but I managed 5 x 200+mph runs and IAT's never raised above 150f
A monster of a car and probably the fastest speed achieved in Europe by a C63 so far.
But so ****ing dumb? Not too wise to judge people without knowing the full story
I live and breathe on the Autobahn and so for me 200mph is like 100mph to you guys as these derestricted sections of road are built for these speeds due to no tight corners, no junctions and no built up areas.
Not sure many know this but 65% of the Autobahn now have restrictions of 120kmh (75mph). There aren't many places left but I seem to find them and relish in it
My CLS55 Weistec should be complete next month so I will be testing speeds on the same stretch of Autobahn and post back if anyone is interested.
Thanks MSL Performance for the trust and for letting me take your pride and joy away for 4 weeks
