It's also over-stylized. It's too fat (~4000lbs) and too pedestrian to have those rakish lines look good like a Lambo or Ferrari. Not saying our C63's are outlandish but they don't try to be.

Like the big bloke said at the end, the fact that this car exists in the face of Audi, MB, BMW who are all going turbocharged, is a reason to celebrate!
I quite like it, and it sounds great!

1. It's a Lexus. So no. These drivers are almost more pretentious than BMW drivers (which they've toned down to say the least; at least near where I live). Just a personal opinion.
2. Those quad-exhaust are probably fake, just like the IS-F.
3. The steering is probably crap, like all Lexus'.
4. The lines of the car are not smooth at all. Like someone mentioned, it looks like someone sliced it up with a samurai sword. Not to mention, a detailer's nightmare.
5. Lexus can never make up its mind about luxury or performance; and when trying to combine the two, luxury over shadows everything.
6. Eight gears? Really? This car will hesitate to shift more than a car stuck in bumper to bumper traffic in LA.
7. It's too showy. I've been told than the "loudest" person in the room is often the weakest. All show, no go.

Not an upgrade as this would be around the same price as a c63 once options are added. The RC-F is more like a car that someone would also consider if say they were deciding between rs5, m3/m4, c63 all around the same price range.

2011 C63 Sedan White on Black
Not much brand new cars in this segment comes with a NA engine these days. Let alone a V10.
Gotta give respects to Lexus for bringing another NA, RWD machine while everyone else is downsizing and turbocharging.

I agree with all of this except number 3. I love the steering feel in my IS300. But that seems to be more the exception than the rule. And maybe the LFA has good steering. I have no clue. Haha. In any case, no I do not wish to lose power, gain weight, and look like I'm driving around in a car sketched by wolverine. I'll stick with my trusty C63 and keep modding it...maybe until I die.
And I haven't been in an LFA either, but I think the LFA may be an exception in this case.

Wow those gauges and seats! I'm liking what I see so far, except the little spoiler that seems out of place, might look better on a Hyundai Tiburon. I give props to Lexus for sticking with the Yamaha tuned V8 though when everyone else is downsizing.
It skip shifts when on normal mode 1-3-5-7-8. I really liked the transmission after driving the ISF, it shifts faster than our pre-face lift C63s when on sport mode. And because of its 8 gears, it is able to achieve 25mpg+ on the highway, which is pretty impressive for a car with its performance. Lexus always got the hate for having an 8 speed auto, but now other car manufactures are starting to follow suit with there own 8-speeds, but to each their own.

I owned an ISF before my C63. I don't regret the changeover but there are elements of the Lexus that are very good. The gear shift speed is immediate, customer service and reliability are tops. I expect the RCF to be the same in that respect.
However, it is a bit clinical and without soul. The build quality is good but it doesn't have the Euro solid feel.

I'm liking it. Idiosyncratic, but generally in a good way. Personally, it'd be a great commuting car if I had a regular commute, which fortunately I don't. Fully loaded, maybe at a $6K discount...it gets more interesting.

The price for a RC-F in Japan was released about a month ago. From what I have heard, Lexus has since received over 900 orders in Japan for the RC-F. The price for a GT-R has been thrown in below for comparison so no worry about the exchange rate. I'm surprised how Lexus/Toyota can comfortably justify RC-F's MSRP in Japan. Now folks, which would you buy?
RC-F
9,530,000 yen

GT-R Pure Edition

It is so incredibly heavy and the styling is polarizing.

Exterior design is lovely but interior design looks like ****. It's nice and sporty just what I wanted. If the w205 coupe is more luxury over sporty then this could be a candidate.

Honestly I wouldn't consider any Lexus for purchase. Build quality and the driving experience don't even come close to Mercedes IMHO.
