I was visting my folks here in Orange County and was told Benz Works in Huntington Beach was able to program my SAM and make them work without any problems. I hit up Serge on Sunday and was told he would get all the parts in next day or day after. Today i drove down to the shop where he installed and programmed my tails! Very happy with the result:
So afterwards i talked to Serge for a awhile and he told me that he is able to program any of the cars from 2008 - 2011! The only downside is that he can only flash it if the vehicle is there or there's a donor C63 where they can plug the SAM into.

The only way I will get the new tails is if they are OEM and re-programmed correctly. I guess I will need to drive across the country to get this done..

Yes, the 2010's-2011's can get their SAM reprogramed, IF someone has access to a donor 2012-2014 car (W204) in which to copy the program from.
This reprogramming was done successfully by a member on the C300 forum. He's in Florida & I'm in Cali., so my project was never completed.
Nice upgrade! So the 2010+ tails can get re-program?
They can be, however the person/shop doing it has to know what they're doing and have the latest up to date software.

They can be done, however the shop has to know what they're doing and able to bypass the Mercedes login.

I'm very interested in this too!
Benz Works would be able to program your SAM directly from your car via ODB2 port. Very few people/shops out there have the ability to touch the 2010+ SAM's due Mercedes updates. The only downside is they would actually need your car in person unless there was a donor C63 at the shop.

They are correct, after Mercedes updated the software no one at the dealerships has access to the developer which is needed. However Benz Works has both updated and old software to program my car!

Dealership's can no longer do this because all their computers are running the newer software where they don't have developer access.
