Down shift from 2nd to 1st

Maybe its just a function of the BS but *sometimes* (20% of the time) when I down shift from 2nd to 1st It feels as though the gear slips and the car accelerates without any throttle being applied.

Anyone have this happen?

Is this your first MCT? I get a similar "lurch" occasionally going from 2nd to 1st. It almost feels like the clutch is being re-engaged too quickly (like when you were first learning to drive a manual). I get the impression this is just the MCT being not that great.

I constantly downshift to 1st on my MCT and I never had that. Does it actually push you forward or could it be just an impression because there is no more engine braking for a split second?

Realistically no need to downshift to 1st, car will downshift itself when slowing down or coming to a stop.

+1

When in M mode with my MCT, that is the one downshift I oftentimes allow the car to do itself.

I had MCT on my 2012 P31 Sedan. - The car does speed up/pushed forward when this happens.

This never happened with my P31 Sedan. The car held the whole time.

It all depends how hard you're braking. The harder you brake, the harder it lurches if I remember right.

this is why I don't downshift from 2nd to 1st. Yes, I like the blips but it's just too damn jarring.

Absolutely pointless to downshift to 1st.

Considering the amount of driveline lash this usually produces, it's just not worth the risk.

worth the risk? lol. this car is not fragile. And what ya'll are describing it totally normal. probably a limitation of software/programming with the mct.
