Question for all the black/murdered/blacked out C63 coupes out there.
So I got my chrome window trim, front grille, LED trim, and trunk trim wrapped in gloss black this weekend...and now I kind of regret it. I thought the gloss black vinyl would look classier than the matte black, which always looked kind of cheap to me, but now my car has no contrast.
Call me crazy, but I think I'm going to tear off the vinyl on the front grille and back trunk strip. Gonna keep the LED trim and window trim black though. I'm not sure why, but the chrome grille has kind of grown on me. I think I actually like the contrast on a black car, it makes the front end and the hood of the car "pop" more. The car looks very boring to me now.
Anyone else feel the same way? Or am I just getting too old for the murdered look? I'd love to see pics if you have any to share. Thanks!

I've only done the window and trunk trim in black so far, and stopped there (except for the black wheels - which I personally think look awesome) because I do like some of the chrome. I've thought about the grille (but can't figure out how it should be done since it's a '14 with the solid star), and the side markers I know would bug some, but here's what I've got and I gotta say I dig it.

You have too much gloss on the car... If your car is not wrapped, that means you have the glossy black paint from the factory. You should have went with the matte black dip/wrap so it pops... one accents the other.
I recently had the front grille and LEDS, side window trim and all badges on the trunk done matte black and it looks great with the original glassy paint.
I have a few lousy iPhone pics, let me see if I can find something worth posting.

I think that was an option on the MY2012 and up.
I had the vinyl guy do the top of my door handles too. Here's what she looks like now, but I definitely think I'm going to remove the vinyl off the front grille.
This just looks so much better to me. Window trim blacked out, but chrome grill for contrast:

Yup, the chrome handles were an option but were already on the car when I picked it out. I like em though. I did my trim in satin, as I compared the matte, satin and gloss vinyl and liked satin the best. But I would live with it for a few days, I bet the gloss will start to grow on you as when I compared the 3M gloss it wasn't as glossy as the paint anyway. And the difference between all of the black vinyls is minimal, IMO.
Your car looks cool, I can see what you mean about the grille, but again give it a few days or a week as well and see how you feel. You can always rip it off then, right?

I also contemplated going with a Gloss Black, but the guy who did it for me said that gloss black accents would not look good on an already glossy body paint
I also agree that matte wrapped cars or lighter color painted cars look better with gloss accents. But, for your gloss black painted car the Matte will really pop.
I removed all the chrome on my car.
BTW, I think your car looks awesome.

Completely murdered out vehicles kinda look like a blob to me, personally. The chrome accents the details and reallly helps it all come together for me. DRL surrounds, and like window trim I kinda like dipped/wrapped depending on body color... but every piece of everything done all black doesn't look good in my humble opinion.
Also cops profile murdered out cars like a mother****er.

I like a stealthy look. I blacked out all chrome on my car except the front hood emblem and grill/emblem. Had the door handles wrapped. I do not like chrome on a black car. Just my personal taste.
