Quote: You can delete the secondary cats in most places without an issue since it's not required by law, only thing I read is it COULD (I stress could not will) cause a failed sniff test

thanks for the reply. We do the obdII test here so no issue with sniff test. Just cel and monitors to look out for.

My understanding is you should be fine because those cats aren't hooked to any O2 sensors. But I haven't removed them myself so it's just what I've read

Quote: Mikes h pipe + resonator deletes = pure AMG goodness.
You get the keep the AMG bark and no drone in the car.

Seems like resonator and secondary cat deletes will not cause any emission/smog testing issues (shouldn't...lol) and give me the sound I'm looking for. Now looking for "Mike" and a source for these parts.

I listened to the sound/video clips and both set variations sound good. Slight difference in deepness/raspyness. None the less, thanks for the videos guys. Come spring time I will have to decide which route I go.

Just had a local muffler shop remove my resonator and install straight pipe. Stock sound retained. Between idle and 2k rpms, it's like the exhaust volume knob is turned up one click, between 2-4k rpms, two clicks, and from 4k-7k, three clicks. Driving around in "C", stock quiteness. The crackling on the overrun when downshifting is a nice added sound. For $100, well worth it.

Quote: Thats what i did. Replaced with straight pipes.
Perfect sound for me
+1 Here in the UK

Secondary Cat Delete, straight replacement, Miltek pipe, no sound difference inside at all, crack and pops at lower speeds more nicely, not in your face, a tad more aggressive at normal speeds, and awesome at speed in a tunnel or in fact generally.

Best and cheapest mod I've ever done on car period

option 2

Fitted for £420 in vat at AMD tuning in essex UK

Both links for "Mike's pipes" above are dead.
