c63 1st oil change for me with added benefit
I have not felt good about the way my m156 sounded on startup for approx the last 800mi or so....for the 1st 25-45sec it would sound almost metallic and then it would just stop and tone down....well yesterday I bit the bullet and put it on the lift and changed the oil...not bad job at all esp with lift..
Walmart had 5qt jugs for$ 23.90ea
And Oreilly was able to get me the Made in Germany Wix oem filter next day for $16 so about $65 and I was great.
Old oil was PITCH black and smelled almost burnt....dissected filter and it looked phenominally clean however ( ZERO debris)
Immediately it was much smoother and quieter on startup (it was remarkable actually)...also, and it may be a placebo effect, but it even seems smoother while driving now....local dealer even told me that if I emailed them a picture of the receipt held beside the vin that they would add the oil change to my service history as an accepted service by outside vender.....really like my SA

This pig took 9.25qt to get to the full mark....dear god that's a lot of oil!!!

I agree about the SA and oil had about 4800mi on it (I had actually added a qt about 10days ago as it was just below bottom tab on stick
