c63 vs m6 hwy run

It's all in good fun ... before I get into it ... the 458 is the faster car, no doubt ... it's fast in a straight line, and even faster in the corners. The M6 didn't do too bad considering it's porky weight.
It seems to me both cars hit it at the same time. Since this particular race not only starts in first gear but also is a roller, it plays into the M6's hands. If it would be a dig race, the 458 would be gone the entire race. On a roller, the M6 doesn't have traction problems and has a torque advantage which you can see as it pulls on the 458 up until the top of 3rd gear. Once in 4th, the M6's torque advantage is over and the naturally aspirated 458 is in it's element. At this point they're about even ... up until 155 mph, when the 458 clearly pulls big time.
If the race would start from a higher roll speed, like 65 mph, the M6 would hang only for a few seconds ... after that it would stare into those beautiful 458 tail pipes

MBWorld Fanatic!
so true. I was messing with a Murci one time in my supra and he thought my car was a joke until he thought i wouldnt be able to play catch up and realized he couldnt get away from me. Then refused to give me a clean run, knowing he'd lose. Hellya id rather own that lambo then a 20yr old toyota lol.
Im surprised a stock m6 didnt pull away, One advantage we do have is the 2014's cant be tuned yet. No one can crack the ecu coding/software. When i drove an m6 i thought it fealt alot like any of our newer 5.5L amg biturbo cars, eventhough their motors are quite a bit smaller. Transmission is way better too.
