Anyone interested in American Racing Headers Group Buy?

I referred a friend to purchase a set of the AR & MHP C63 LTs and he was told the sale price for MBW members is now back on due to tax season lol. Insane price, killer power, amazing quality. Enjoy!

Heard the same thing! I now have about 4,000 miles on mine and would not go back. Custom dyno tune next week!! :-)

Are you coming up for the dyno tune? If so depending on the date and time I may be able to watch and you can take the CLA out for a spin (a true dog compared to your car I'm sure).

Yes, will be in Columbus next Tuesday evening for the tune. Catless lead pipes are in transit - getting ready for the March 28 track day at Mid-Ohio. Wohoo!!!!

I'm about to pull the trigger on these after having my *** handed to me by a Pontiac G8. God damn those things are fast. From 60-160 he pulled on me by a car. I have tune and no cats. Idk what he had but the car had lots of exterior mods, very wide tires and sounded catless. Shocked the heck out of me

ean,
I have MHP long tube headers (see description of install etc. further up in this thread). I recently added an Akrapovic slip on and am now getting a custom dyno tune from MHP. I live in the Cincinnati area and Columbus and back is doable for an evening session. Those guys are amazingly flexible - my appointment is at 7 pm, so I can get there after work.
I had a Eurocharged V5 header tune and was very happy with it. I just expect more power and better calibration from a custom dyno tune.
You could get the same headers from MHPs current group buy and head over to Columbus from Dayton for the tune - you may be even closer than I am.

I'd love to see the difference between our cars. I spoke to ARH and they referred me to MHP but not Andy. They were telling me I cat run a catless setup all year lon and then put the 200cel cats for inspection. I'm just not sure if I will be keeping the car any longer.

I just replaced the race cats with test pipes today. On Tuesday I will be at MHP to get a custom dyno tune. I'll try to take a video when I do that. It is always difficult to really get a good feel for the exhaust sound from a video, but at least you'll be able to tell that it is a rather deep rumble, rather than tinny or screechy.

Please let us know your thoughts on the cat less setup vs. the chatted setup.

From the drive home last night (got up to 140 mph briefly) I can already tell you, that the exhaust note is very similar to the setup with race catalysts. Maybe a bit fuller, but not much different.
The change from stock mufflers to Akrapovic was huge, removing the race cats is a small, incremental change towards breathing a bit freer. Should be worth 15-20 hp with a calibrated tune.

Nope. Did one run on the EC tune as baseline reading 468-480 whp (depending on correction or not). When I tried to flash back to stock with the EC Handheld, it locked up and gave an error, plus deleted the stock file. Now the handheld has to be reset with a code from EC before I may be able ti get to stock. Those handheld are moody, I don't really trust it any more. Back for another attempt next week Wednesday.
I will get this done, eventually. .....

As you can read in many posts, the handhelds are finicky, and seem to be hit and miss. I am probably done with using them, but will know more in a few days.
