Are people putting these badges on themselves? Saw a silver 550 with amg badge on the test today. Also have amg license plate holder! ;-)

 

 

No, they come like that from factory if they have the amg package. (Wheels, spoiler and I think maybe a amg shift knob)
Other than that it's just a regular cls550.

There's a C250 that has a C63 diffuser and quad tail pipes that lives in my area. He had AMG badges on it. One day I bumped into him on the road. 4 deserted lanes on a sunday morning. I did loud burnouts next to him on the way home and kept downshifting to lights to let the car roar. I think he got the message. He no longer has the badge on his car. My wife says I was mean. I said I was just driving normal. Lol.

I Keep seeing a C300 in my area with AMG quad tips, but he still has the C300 badge... And an AMG badge. I keep tearing past him bellowing noise, and he keeps trying to catch up. Then nods at me at lights.

 

I had a C350 before this and had the quad tips on it and stuff. Didn't have any AMG badges though in fact didn't have C350 or 4MATIC badges either. But it was like that when I got it. I just put the quad tip conversion and pipe to make it sound a little better. People did think that it was a C63 every now and then, but I would just say I wish and correct them. Until...I said screw it and picked the C63 up lol.

 

Wow really? I rarely see any c300 with AMG badges in Calgary.

 

Very similar experience! I had a c300 with quad pipes, down pipes x pipes. No badges tho. No one wanted to race me at the lights.

When I got my c63 with badges people seems to be more playful.

 

Country hills man, one C300 rebadged, and one C350. There's also a C300 with a giant *** tuner wing on it.

No one ever wants to play with me perhaps I'm too loud and scary haha

Haha I have the best story about people wanting to 'play'. So I work in downtown Edmonton in a high rise tower with underground parking. Another acquaintance of mine works in the same tower so he parks in the basement as well. He recently purchased a brand new BMW 435 or whatever they are calling it now. It's a nice looking car, is blue the colour I really like and seems like a decent ride all together.

So one day we happen to be riding down the elevators towards the parking together. He got into his car and started exiting right behind me. When we got to the main street since I was ahead I went into the lane closest to me. A couple of minutes later he starts rolling behind me and see the empty lane beside mine and pulls up beside me. He has this gangsta lean on and rolls down his window as he is looking at me so I automatically do the same.

He revs his engine a few times and we all know what those Bimmer's sound like. It sounded okay I guess, had the M package so whatever differences it makes in the exhaust department. So he revs it as we are stopped at a red light as he is looking at me and smirks a bit. This is the best part, so I obviously oblige, I put my car in neutral and revved to maybe 6K rpm 2-3 times and the whole bloody car shakes and the pops and crackles go off. The first time I did it as he is looking at me, he literally jumped from his seat a bit and flinched big time. lol

There are pedestrians walking around all stop and start looking cause they think there's a race that's about to go down. After I do the revving through the window he goes to me, "how much hp?". I go around 481. He goes, "oh **** that", shakes his head and rolls up his window and drives off the light normally. lol That was probably one of the proudest moments of me owning the C63! lol

 

Never seen that one... Though the C63 beside it looks like mine haha (before I modded). The one's I saw are Obsidian Metallic, and the one with the wing is Platinum.

 

Ahh i see. Ya I spotted that guy a few months ago. And that Black C63 is mine

 

That's the problem with us Obsidian C63 owners... We all look the same!



Shoulda taken the third one out and parked beside us too, so many C63's in the shop today...

I saw a black C300 by Chinook yesterday that had a set of really goofy looking split exhaust pipes and a bunch of Vossen stickers on it.
