Burn oil smell

As anyone experienced a strong oil burned smell. This happens every time the car has been driven hard, so it is kind of often. When I park I get a whiff of burned oil as soon as I get out of the car. However is not coming from the engine, at least the smell is not coming from the engine when I open the hood. It seems to be coming from the center rear of the car. Any ideas. Oh yes it is a 2010 with 49K miles. Thanks

LOL, sorry couldn't resist.

Sounds like the cats are cooking hot. Try a cool down before you park it.

Nothing on garage floor and can't really tell if anything is leaking to the exhaust. I guess will need to take to the dealer and have it checked out. One more thing, the check engine light just came on. Not sure if related.

it was funny anyway. So, no one experienced the same issue? find it strange. Why would the cats smell like burned oil?

I recently posted a similar issue, no CEL with my car- turned out to be valve cover gasket leak at only 19000 miles, please check my 2 posts below. Good luck.
