2015 c63 507 $75,000 plus tax with 4k km (coupe)
Or
2014 c63 507 $61,000 plus tax with 23k kms (coupe)

The 2015 is virtually new at around 2,800 miles while the 2014 has 14,000 plus miles.
I'd expect the 2014 to either have newer tires or need tires while the 2015 should not.
$61 k USD for a 1 yr old 507 is a pretty good price. I'd expect it to be in great shape.
With 14,000 miles I'd say its not been a weekend only driver.

61k for a 507 is a pretty good deal, i'm lusting over one for sale here and its 72k (though it has 6k mi)
The two cars you posted both are great to be honest. Now you say money is a bit of an issue then of course the cheaper of the two would make more sense. And it's only a year old. Yes, the mileage is bit on a higher side for that year but to be honest if it was maintained properly without any issues I don' see what's wrong with it. I got my 2011 in 2013 and it only had 22K km's. So technically it was rarely driven. In a year and half I've brought it up to 52K km's. These cars are good for long time as long as they are maintained.
If money isn't an issue then obviously go for the newer one which is virtually brand new. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with the other one. In fact, if you were being smart with money I'd look for around another year or two older version around the $50K range.
Those prices are good though. My local dealer is selling a 2013 C63 Coupe (non 507) with 13K km's for around $66K. So for a 2014, 61K is really good. Which dealership is this, where in Canada?

Why are they charging you tax if it's a private sale?

Could be similar in NY. When you buy a car privately and then go to register it, the DMV charges tax based on the amount on the bill of sale. So he could just be accounting for that. Originally Posted by papashango

I'd take the 2014. Someone already took a big depreciation hit for you. If you get that 2015 and then want to make a move in a year or two then you'll find yourself in a bad spot.
Sure, 3k miles is nothing. But 14k miles is also basically brand new. I've got 13k miles on my 13 and it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.

Well that's not the case in Alberta at least. Not sure where in Canada he is from but I guess yea i could be different. I would be surprised though having never heard of such a system before.

From a financial standpoint the 2014 it already took the depreciation hit! The 2015 has not. Both are low miles I would go with the 2014.

It is in Ontario. When you go to the MTO office to change the ownership, you pay the tax on either the sale amount or the MTO book value, whichever is higher (your friend can't give you a bill and say he sold it to you for $10K). The only exception is immediate family where you can "gift" the car to someone.Originally Posted by papashango

I second the 2014. It's the same car for $14K less. If it's yoru friend, can you get full service records for it?
