In The Market For Coilovers
Good day everyone,
Currently deciding what coilovers to get for the 2014 c63 coupe edition 507 (staying stock also an option, of course). KW3 Clubsport are nice, but really expensive. I looked into H&R..however the website does not list H&R coilovers for the C63 Coupe, yet in other websites there have been posts/pictures made with a c63 coupe on H&R coilovers..or guy(s) on here be selling H&R coilovers stating it would fit the Wagon, Coupe, and Sedan.
More of a drag type of guy, and would like to keep it at stock height at times (clearance reasons in the garage, etc) fyi. Any input on quality coilovers would be appreciated, thank you.

My question to you, you want to stay stock height, why bother with coilovers? Your current suspension is more than capable of doing what typical drivers are looking for.

That is also a possibility. Figured it'd be nice for stance as well, at times. Other than the capability to change height on aftermarket coilovers, are the C63 stock suspensions just as good?

So, the performance pack suspension is a little stiff. People that have the PP and go to a coilover setup like that the ride is usually a touch smoother.
If you have a non-pp then the smoothness will be about the same. A coilover setup will perform better. That said, this happens when you are really pushing the car. What I'm getting at is that your stock suspension is more than fine for street use. It will also save you money by just staying stock.
As for the capability to change height. In my experience people go into coilovers thinking it is nice to adjust ride height and they will do so often. Well, they put the coilovers on, adjust once, and never touch them again. Unless they track the hell out of their car then sometimes people really tinker with the settings.
I feel like this is a DD setup/car for you. So I would just leave it as is especially if you are going to keep the stock ride height. If you do want to lower it eventually, and you dont track your car all the time, then springs will even be fine. You mention your more of a drag type guy anyway which is just another reason coilovers aren't a necessity.
There, I just saved you a few thousand dollars.

I agree with Purple, save ur money & go with springs.. More than enough for what u are looking to achieve.
Don't stay stock though lol

Thinking you'll put coilovers to change the height whenever you want is not true. Why?
It might not be that convenient to do. Front would be the easiest bit still would require lifting the car up and remove the wheels to adjust. The back requires more work by removing the lower control arm in order to release the springs.
I had KW V3 on my sedan and it took me 3 attempts to adjust height, rebound/compression. Then I never touch them again

i have H&R coilovers, and as with all coilovers the ride is rough, and everytime i step out after a long drive i need to stretch for a few minutes. Personally, I never adjusted it since install but i got it to go lower than what the h&r spring can offer, and its nice to know that i can still go about half an inch lower if i wanted to or raise it up if i needed to. The ride is sporty and stiff but also uncomfortable, recommend springs for daily driving if not go for coilovers!

Here is another option.
Springs which go lower than the H&R's
Has anyone tried them?

Haven't seen any reviews yet. They supposed to fit the Sedan and t-model c63.
