So how would this go on if I had a oem/stock exhaust? Do you have to cut off the oem tips and weld these on?

The Akrapovic tips come with clamps to clamp them onto the exhaust tubes.

i was thinking the same. but it's hard to make this car sound better and these tips look amazing. they also are not sold as a standalone. I too am really thinking about buying. it's just a huge PITA to cut all 4 of the factory SS tips off.

Well, this is a highly subjective decision. Aesthetic improvements are all about improving appearance - spoilers, carbon fiber bits, rims. Are they posing?


Here you can get the Akrapovic look excl. sound for 500$, the sound would be 3500$ extra. Would having both be desirable? Probably. Can everybody afford both? Probably not.


And posing only works if people understand what the poser could possibly want to show. Who on earth knows about Akrapovic exhausts for a Mercedes C63? 1000 people out of 300 million in the US?


I think this is about personal preference and what a car owner likes on his/her car.

Thinking outside the box a touch, you can always buy these and then have them powdercoated in black or any color really. Then you wouldn't be "posing" and have the square tips.

Anybody interested in these Titanium tips? I can't believe people are spending fortunes on carbon fiber bits and these tips don't get ripped out of my hands.....
