I really really really need the paddle shifters!!!
Willing to sell those alone?
Also, is that spoiler Carbon Fiber?
If possible, I am very interested in the chrome trim surrounding the windows. The one that is on the top and the individual strips underneath each window.
Also, very sorry to see this first post. That's a big shame! Sorry for your loss.

can you PM me a price for the drivers door window switch and drivers side lock/unlock button on the door?
Edit: I suppose it would help to add shipped to 75230!

is it just me or does the damage not sound that bad?
it seems it still runs fine, sure it would need some work but i would think it'd be less stressful to fix it and get it back on the road (especially if insurance will help out) versus the part out.

The damage may not look that bad (it's all under the tarp so it's hard to tell), but I guess the C pillar may have been damaged and seeing as it provides crucial structural integrity in the case of a rollover, they may have decided to scrap the car.
What I don't get though is that the OP says the car was insured, so if it's a total write-off (as in not repairable), he gets a cheque and they scrap the vehicle. You can't both collect from the insurance company AND keep the vehicle if it is a write-off. Something doesn't add up. If it's not a write-off, then the whole "I need the frame back" thing smells rather fishy to me - the VIN and ownership go with the frame, and that's exactly how you "launder" a stolen car (legally buy a frame and thus the VIN / ownership, move all parts from the stolen car to the legal frame, and you have yourself a "clean" vehicle). Don't know about the US or whether it varies state-to-state, but it is illegal in Canada, all of the EU and I suspect most other civilized countries. This has illegal chop-shop scam written all over it.
As a side note, it would make for a cool project if someone wanted to turn it into a convetible, or it could make a decent track car provided that you put a roll cage in it.

P.S. Just read the OPs second post that says it is NOT a write-off. That means it is structurally sound and thus repairable (so no salvage title). A dent in the roof and a rear windshield is easier to fix than to part out a car, so yeah, it sounds like someone wants to turn a stolen car into a legal one. Not cool.

If a car is a total loss you can buy it back from the insurance company and fix it/part it out yourself (in the US at least). Sometimes a good idea with older cars that are easier to fix or don't have much actual damage, but get totaled because of expensive to fix body damage or similar.
I do agree that this is very fishy though as there is no point in parting out a car that has not been totaled. You'd be losing a ton of money somewhere.
OP, if the car is not a total loss, why not just have insurance fix it? What does your friend want with a C63 frame?

Sure, you can buy it back if it's a write-off - but in that case you have to go through the DOT in the US (or MTO in Ontario) and you get a SALVAGE title. He said it was not a write-off though, so your question is indeed perfectly valid. Why doesn't he fix it as the damage looks rather minimal, and more importantly, why does he want the frame back?
Unless the intent is to launder a stolen car, who would possibly buy a frame on its own from a six year old C63? If you already have a C63 and your frame is bent, the severity of the impact that would bend the frame would certianly destroy a lot of other stuff on the car, so you'd certainly be better off buying another one as you would need a lot of other things in additon to the frame. Furthermore, the amount of time it would take someone to strip an entire vehicle and put it back together on another frame would again be huge and worth more than it would cost to just buy an identical used vehicle in the same condition... unless it was stolen.
We're not talking about a 1960s collectible here that someone wants to restore and that's going to be worth $250K when done - we're talking about a 2009 C63 with 100K miles that's worth maybe $25K tops.
So - OP, please answer why you want the frame back and who is this friend that you are going to sell it to? Can you provide an explanation or any evidence how this would be for a legitimate purpose?

If the car was stolen then the poster has got a large set of ***** to do it on a public forum.
However if the car is stolen and it has an aftermarket exhaust plus the carbon wrapped interior it's going to be quite distinctive. Therefore not a good idea to advertise on a C63 enthusiasts forum.
So bottom line is give the guy a chance and maybe a few people shouldn't be declaring themselves judge, jury and executioner !

No - no one here is claiming that the OPs car that he is parting out is stolen. Just that whoever wants to buy the frame likely has some alterior motives and maybe wants to transplant the goodies from another stolen car onto the OPs' frame. Whether the OP is somehow involved in it is something only he knows.

After the last storm here in the suburbs of Boston an ice dam weighing over 200 pounds fell from my roof and landed on the roof, trunk and back glass of my 2009 C63. I am now parting out the car and hope it's parts can find new homes amongst fellow enthusiasts. The only part not for sale is the frame. I've promised that to a friend. The car has 97k and everything runs and drives perfectly. There are no warning lights on except for the rear brake light notification. The interior is in great condition. I'd be willing to sell the parts as a whole and ship the vehicle with the understanding that after you have taken what you need I could have the frame picked up and brought back here. I'll attach some pics below and if anyone has any questions please call or message me. Sean 404-617-4837
