I generally follow the "don't crap where you eat" rule as far as my neighborhood is concerned, and slow way down, and back into C mode. Actually, in any neighborhood I'll tone it done as mentioned above you don't know if kids will run out, etc. On the open road, that's another story. But I definitely don't want to **** of my neighbors, so I totally tone it down. No one's complained yet, so fingers crossed...

Not in my neighborhood, but a friends today, and this happened to me. Just secondary cat delete, going about 20mph and some woman went all momma bear on me and stood in the center of the road with her hands up sky high. The funny thing was I was still quite a ways away, going slow, so I could tell how stupid she felt when she realized just how long it took me to reach her and her kids. Then she figured out I'm that same courteous guy that drives slow and normally in my Ford Edge.
