Hi All,
I have had transmission judder ever since I purchased my 2013 C63 back in December.
When in Drive at a standstill, held by the footbrake. Release footbrake but do not throttle, car judders until the car rolls to about 4kph. When slowing down, transmission judders the same from 4kph to a stand still.
Been back to the dealer a couple of times, now its been with the dealer for 2 weeks.
First time (Feb 2015) they checked all software updates, and all up to date.
Information from settings, data etc was sent to Mercedes by the dealer.
Then Mercedes asked for some more figures so the car went back to the dealer last week and the car was driven a certain way etc and this data passed to Mereceds.
Mercedes have asked for the crankcase breather to be changed and re-tested and this data sent back to them by the dealer etc.
Any ideas why or how, the crankcase breather would have any effect on the transmission judder?

Update, car has been in the dealers now 6 weeks and still they are waiting for Germany to give them answers. MB called me yesterday to say its now moved from Technical department Germany to Resarch and Development in Germany who will contact the dealer on the 30/04/2015.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Do you have a new car? I hope you got a loaner car for the time being.
I just have an A class loan car at the moment. MB have no idea how long it could take. Meanwhile, I am still paying MB finance on it even though they have had it for a total of 7 weeks in the 19 weeks I have owened the car. in 3 weeks time, they will have had the car longer than I have!

MB sure seems to drag their feet during these occurrences... I have read numerous stories of people with brand new cars having to wait weeks (and months) for a solution.

You should call MBFS and let them know what's going on. With proof, maybe they'll offer some sort of credit or other reimbursement for the time it's been at the dealership. Originally Posted by the_big_1

Also, I'm not sure who you're dealing with at the service department but my car was in the shop for about six weeks for several different issues (all under warranty). I became best friends with the service department director and he now my service advisor
MBUK are fully awear of it, they called me yesterday to let me know its moved to R and D department in Germany etc.
They wont discuss re-embersment until its all completed but they know all the details.

What state are you in? In CA, that car would qualify for repurchase.Originally Posted by the_big_1

Not sure but if there is something like the Lemon law in the UK maybe you should look into that. Sounds like a royal pain in the ***.

Remarkably similar sounding issue to what i have, also 2013 model.
I had the dealer check it out a few months back - "yes see what you mean, we will check it out for fault codes, update software, get one of our AMG specialist techs to drive it blah blah blah". They concluded that the car checked out fine after updating software, the old "within normal limits for that type of transmission/they all do that" line.
At first I thought it was much improved but still present to some extent. But after a few more months of driving I am not so sure, and I am now wondering whether the fix might be all in my head and/or I am just giving it more revs than I used to in order to prevent it happening.
Be keen to hear what happens with yours.

I am hoping this will fix the issue, if it does then we know the issue is faulty clutches. The hard part could be getting MB to agree they are.
