Just bought a 507 Edition! Anything I need to know?
After testing the AMG and the M3, I decided on the AMG. Thought I'd stretch myself a bit, and I went with the 507 edition.
Car is a 2014 sedan, with just over 20,000km. It's a CPO vehicle.
I'm going to be picking it up next week. Just wondering if there is anything I should check and know before I take possession of the car?
I figured that because it's a CPO, everything would be inspected carefully, but I'm not sure how much I can trust that.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, and look forward to posting on the board soon

Car is CPO so you are good, best thing to check is make sure there are no TSBs out for it, also can't hurt to take a look at the service history as well.

Looking forward to getting it. Likely won't be available to pick it up for another week or two. But I will be sure to post photos once I get it.
The CPO gives me 2 years, and then I have an extended 2 years, taking me to 2019.
Is it advised to get more warranty if I plan to keep the car, and what sort of cost would I be looking at?
Cheers

I'm not sure of the condition of roads you'll be driving but I drive only when dry and the only gravel is the last mile or so to my place where I baby it.
I'd recommend putting a strip of Expel clear adhesive on the underside of the rockers behind the front wheel then again behind the rear wheel. Easy to DIY.
Less then 5,000 mi on mine and I see those ares are peppered with nicks. You can't see without looking under but if you run your hand under you'll feel it.
BTW here is my son and I out on Friday night. We were out bowling (no, not usually) and there were some chuckleheads standing around outside smoking beside a C300 that had somehow lost the C300 badge and gained an AMG badge on the back bumper.
We showed them the only kind of smoking that gets done around my car and when we looped back around a few minutes later there was still haze in the background. They selected the shut up portion of put up or shut up. That strip aint super long, but we laid it down thick and hard and if you look at it you can really see the camber. Inside of that tread looks like a ridge you could trip on, while the outside is pretty light.
BTW Mr Victory Pose there loves this car. Whenever his buddy's mention a Lambo or something he always says "yeah but we're to young to ride in it anyways cos it doesn't have a backseat (he's 9). My dad can take us out in an AMG right now."

As for what you need to know. Stock up on rear tires. I buy them when ever I can find my sizes for a decent price. I have 2 sets spare at all times

The dealership is asking me if I want to get the upgraded warranty for like $3500.
I have almost 2 years left on the full warranty, then I get a limited warranty for another 2 years. I can upgrade to a full warranty covering pretty much everything.
Would you guys suggest doing this?
Also, they offered to do 3M wrap on the front portion of the car for about $600. Thoughts on this?
Thanks again

Pretty sure you can purchase the warranty anytime before the existing one expires. If so, no rush.
