awww! Black Friday Sale!!! wish i knew i would have waited. anyway...just got these installed...they fit great and i'm very happy with the purchase. Wish i did this from the get go as so I could have avoided failure of my new factory pulleys.
thanks for shipping them out quickly shardul! much appreciated!
This would be mandatory for anything going superchargered. I only knew about this after one of my oem plastic pulleys disintegrated on the highway which snapped my belt and broke my thermostat! Learn from my mistake guys. Also, spend an extra couple of bucks and replace the tensioner while you are there too (if it's old).
Here is some feedback. If you have a bottom rib pulley, you will need an updated bolt for the OEM smooth pulley for a proper fit. Other than that, the quality is awesome.
Sorry to be a pain.
But has anyone who installed this kit has any issue with the tensioner pulley?
According to instructions, fitted with curclips facing out, I find that the pulley rubs on the mounting point.
That the only issue I have with this pulley. Other than that, quality piece of kit.
I am still having issues trying to fit the tensioner pulley.
It seems the tensioner pulley from Shardul's kit catches on the tensioner pump itself. The pulley is different from OEM one which concaves from inside.
Few pics here to explain. different design. OEM ones is concaved. Billet pulley catches on the rounded notch. Pulley grinds against the tensioner
Have spoken to Shardul and he mentioned using a spacer to space it out.
However, this will make the belt to be skewed and not in line, hence the risk of belt slipping?
Seeing that i have a supercharger installed, not sure if the risk of belt slipping is more?
Anyone having to use a spacer to space out the tensioner pulley?
Still no resolution on this.
I am now left with 1 unused pulley from the kit, and no guarantee of whether there is a risk of mixing OEM plastic pulley with 4 other billet ones.
Not happy at all and no help from vendor.
Only solution offered was to add spacer or run the belt off center?
Really helpful.... NOT.

@shardul was getting ready to pull the trigger and do these on my car, but would like to see you comment on this issue as I am not going to buy if there is a potential that there is a fitment. Seems a lot of these have been installed over the years and this is the first I have heard of the issue, is there a difference with Euro cars or have others used a spacer and just not mentioned it? Holding off for now also until this is resolved.

I can share that my set and UD pulley work perfectly on my US C63...... no issues noted during install, and Shardul was gracious enough to meet up with me in town ( houston) to delvier them to save shipping....
that said, given the number of these sold and potential need for the replacement of the plastic pulleys down the line for all the M156's I'm surprised he hasn't weighed in on these concerns or resolved this potential UK variance issue....... not cool to just post " Back in Stock" over posts requesting details or resolution on prior sales.....
