I DO like the contrast of the black headlight buckets against the white body color, it's bold and aggressive no doubt....BUT....I did want to see what a more coordinated scheme would look like so I grabbed my spare set and went to work....all in all, its actually not that bad

So... You still have your other unmolested lights to put back on, right?
Nice effort, seems to be done right, but just doesn't look good.
However, as we all know, looks are just personal taste

I totally agree that tastes are personal....
I not only have the factory bi-xenon (14pin) that came as optioned on the car but i also have another pair of THESE Spyder lights that are black as well....i will honestly say that there is no comparison between the factory bi-xenon lights and the Spyder projectors, at least out of the box....
HOWEVER, if you open up the Spyder units(the base of the Spyders is identical to the factory, only difference is the visible fascia piece) switch the Spyder projector H7 bulb mount with a D1S mount, swap over the factory ballast, then add a bi-xenon shutter to the Spyder projectors they by far, i mean by a MILE, outperform the factory units....the Spyder projectors are a Morimoto Mini H1 6.0 copy so they are REALLY good all on there own AND already designed for an HID setup(prolly why they look like **** when installed because they come set up for Halogen)...as for the LEDs on the Spyder units, out of the box they are weak and not a good color in my opinion....but the way they are designed makes it quite easy to swap them out with some quality, high output LEDs...going from the factory bi-xenon's 14pin setup to the Spyder's factory halogen 10pin setup took a little trial and error to get right but it was not that bad at all...i made a pair of 14pin to 10pin adapter harnesses so that i could run these without molesting the factory 14pin bi-xenon connectors so that when i swapped them back out it would be "unplug and play" so to speak....I'm sure that i will get bored with this and go back to the black before too long but for what it's with just a little bit of work and less than $30 worth of parts you can make these Spyder lights really come alive.....

Really good effort jptaylor, I would have been curious also about it. But I have to agree, it doesn't add anything to the car and does make it look a bit "ricer"ish. A+ for effort though

Appearance from outside isn't my style, but I bet the view from behind the wheel on a dark road is just awesome. Great work on the lighting system!
