2012+ Escort Radar hardwire??

So I've done a fair amount of searching and I can't seem to find a decent guide on hardwiring my escort radar detector in my 2012 C63. I took a page from a member on here with an ML63 but of course the wiring in his car is different than mine. I've seen one write up that shows members simply using the 12v plug in their glove box but my car doesn't have that. Has anyone successfully done a DIY radar detector install that can help me out with some pointers?

I fully understand the concept of what to do, I'm looking for some guidance on HOW to do it. Care to share some photos or a little more in depth explanation?

Dont cut or tap any wires. Go to the auto parts store and get an "add a circuit" fuse tap. Run a long cable to the trunk fuse box and just tap the fuse from the cig lighter. I can get pics for you in the morning. But I prefer not to splice into factory wiring if I can help it. The best part is this method is completely reversible.
