pre-fl front lip advice needed

So i recently got a big fin diffuser in the back and wanted to complete the look with a front lip... the problem is that my car is fully lowered on h&r coilovers and I need something that will clear my driveway... I have a little less than 2 inches of space on the slope at the steepest part. anyone had similar issues with a drop?? vendors?? thanks!!

haven't really measured it, but Its right around 5 inches on the side skirts and probably a little closer to 4.5 inches on the front but at the steepest part of my driveway its less than 2 inches

Your best bet would probably be the discontinued Vorsteiner CF front lip that has minimal protrusion in the middle of the bumper, but will sit pretty low on the sides of the bumper. Even then, I think your ride height would be too low for it. And you would also need to find someone who still has this front lip.

This thread has a picture of it:

Good luck!

Problem is all the major manufacturers discontinued their pre face lift lips. I think maybe RevoZport or Extreme Dimensions.

Even if you get a good price or discount, do not do it!!! It will only make you aggravated.

I have been in your tires. I'm glad Gary spoke up as well. Hell, if I had one to GIVE you, I wouldn't. You are too low and will ultimately be unhappy. Not to say you cannot get it to work for a while, but it will only be a matter of time. I found a way to conquer my driveway angle and was able to get in and out. But the rest of the world and all the drives, entrances, exits, parking garages, restaurants, will pose some problems.

Not trying to bum you out and certainly not telling you no, as I can't because it's your decision. Just answering you thread and request. I have been there and ended up being unhappy. I put some scratches on some beautiful CF. My 2010 was lowered, "mildly", on H&R and although I liked the look of the car with a front lip, the mental aggravation wasn't worth it.

Good luck, just wanted to chime in with some real-world experience.

Lots of ppl here are running front lips with H&R springs no problem.

Yes ur driveway is a bit steep & yes u might clear if u go in at some angles or use 2x4 woods.

Regardless, some front lips are so cheap nowadays (GodHand, Arkym reps...) that I would prefer to scrape those vs scraping my oem bumper. Repairing & repainting front bumpers can become expensive.

I don't think he has H&R springs Ros, he said H&R coilovers....with H&R springs you would not be that low....thats probably the lowest setting....

Oups my bad, I misread the Coilovers part lol

I would raise the car a bit regardless in order to run a front lip to match the aggressive rear diffuser & to protect scraping the OEM bumper.

Wow, thanks for the feedback guys. The driveway wouldn't be as easy as 2x4s because it goes in a downward spiral below my house to get in the garage. Could probably get away with backing the car down but I would still have issues with scraping or damaging it at gas stations or shopping centers etc.

Sounds like it was a very aggravating experience! You mentioned all the stuff i was worried about with the drop lol

But, I was also looking at the arkym style lip, how far does it hang below the bumper? It doesn't look like it would be as low as the godhand or the carlsson style (which is the one i really wanted to get)... but either way it looks like I'm probably gonna hold off on a lip unless i can get something custom made that doesn't hang too far off the bumper
