weird windshield wiper fluid leak - out of nowhere??
Good morning!
So a couple of days ago, I found a small puddle of fluid under the car on the front driver's side towards the front. I quickly recognized it as windshield wiper fluid. I looked underneath to confirm and sure enough, that is exactly what it was. I thought maybe the cap came open accidentally but it was shut pretty good so it did not come from there. I could see enough fluid in the reservoir by using a flashlight, so it is a very slow leak.
I haven't triggered any low-level lights yet and it has been 3 days. I haven't hit anything or found any sort of scratches or scuffs on the bottom leading me to believe I cracked or broke something.
Visually inspecting it, I haven't been able to find anything and it is driving me bonkers.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks!

It is likely leaking at the grommet or point of entry for the circuit to heat the washer fluid and is a fairly common problem. The dealer will fix it if it still under warranty. This happened on our 2011 GLK as well. Not sure what the repair entails exactly or if it is a DIY. GL

Have you filled it recently? If you have a leak halfway down the reservoir but the liquid level is below the leak, you won't ever see it until you top off the reservoir.
