Nice bro, can't wait to see the results! What kind of gains are you expecting?

Bringing up one of my old threads (instead of starting a new one) to follow my latest endeavor- boosting the c63. I purchased the Weistec stage 2 kit from eurocharged last week. Not really sure what kind of power to expect with the mods I currently have but I'm excited to find out! From reading various threads, everyone is saying that its best to do the Weistec valve body/tcu to go along with it on the 7G trans.
Here are some things I was thinking: Should I do the head bolts, SLS valve buckets, head gaskets along with this? How much would this be? Because of the low miles (15k) my mechanic (who has a p31 weistec stage 3) said i don't need to do it so soon, but I'm thinking if the top end is going to be apart might as well save some money on labor up front. I also don't have a limited slip diff but thats also on my list. Im also trying to stick to a budget on this build, but I would do the head bolts and buckets for peace of mind with the extra power.
Long term, I would want to build the trans and get the stage 3 blower, ice tank, heads, cam, basically the full build haha
ALSO- been dealing with a CEL issue with the upstream O2 sensor going off, and cylinder 6 misfire. When we hooked it up to SDS the O2 at correct temperature was working fine and the cylinder wasn't misfiring. We cleared the O2 code then the cylinder was misfiring then later stopped. After a mile of driving the CEL went off again, but the car is driving normal. Could be bad gas, bad O2, MAF, Spark plugs or coil, will diagnose this before the blower goes on

Yea, it would be stupid not to have one with that much power. I can't speak from experience about the other items but might as well upgrade them while you're at it, wouldn't hurt.

Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking the same thing with LSD. Thats definitely on the list.
Now I just need some advice on the headbolts/ valves... and if anyone has any other advice on things to do with the stage 2 upgrade!

Since your plan is to go all out. Save yourself time and money and do it right from the start. Get your heads ported and polishe. Grab some sls valve buckets and do the headbolts. Then install a wavetrac. Your gonna blow the tranny since it's not an mct. Save your money on the cams. And upgrade your tranny instead. Then go stage 3 blower and call it a day.

i have been running stock bolts and stock buckets on stage 2 supercharged m156 and have run 60 qtr mile passes with this setup running 10.5 and 10.6 passes
The stock stuff has been fine
But i do have all the weistec stuff to change over to when i upgrade to stage 3 for just piece of mind
depends how far you want to go
if you want to go all out do it properly

Update on the car; Still in the shop had issues getting missing brackets and bolt, with UPS damaging my tcu & valve body, filing claims, getting a new one programming it sending back etc.. but now all the part are in and ready to be put together hopefully it'll be home in the next week or so. Been 3 months too long.
I ended up going with the stage 2 blower kit, oil catch can, weistec plugs, the weistec tcu/vb upgrade, wavetrac diff, new trunk lip and arkym style front lip, and clear corners. The anticipation aside, really excited to see how much different the car is going to drive. Planning to do a remote dyno tune with eurocharged down the road! Also that O2 sensor issue was resolved by replacing the O2 sensor, still don't know why it was acting up.
Not sure where I'm going to go from here yet, but that itch for more mods will eventually come back.... perhaps getting that headbolt and buckets taken care of, then perhaps renntech airboxes..

Damn! You're the first Pre-FL Car i've seen that's getting the Weistec VB/TCU.
Please let me know how it is when you get it! I've never seen any real world reviews of the Pre FL 7G Transmission with this. Only hte MCTs.

Really? I thought there were some pre fl cars with it too interesting. I remember reading a couple different threads where people with the stage 2 started slipping on the 7g trans after some time. But for sure Ill post how it turns out!

I like the way you think, doing only what's needed and staying on a budget. I'm in the same boat and contemplating going FI and doing the VB/TCU as well. Currently have MBH LTH, mids, xpipe, resonator delete with ROW boxes and aFe dry filters on an Evotech road tune making 485/444 currently and don't feel the need to upgrade the transmission in its current form. I have the Wavetrack diff waiting to be installed and recently did my step colder brisk plugs from weistec. So looking forward to see how all this works out and maybe won't need to get a blower if I'm happy with how the car currently is.

What is the overall opinion on the functionality of this intake set up? It looks badass but does it really let more air in and provide gains? I read on a thread somewhere where someone said it improved 1 mph on the 1/4 mile. Anyone else with this or something similar have any comments?
