Mod Fever; What to do next?

So I'm at a point where I'm stuck. The lack of options are frustrating. The high prices from the lack of competition is also frustrating.I wish more tuners would step up and make more parts and mods such as heads, cams, carbon fiber pieces etc.

With the c63 dropping in value more people are buying them with the intent to mod. Ive been looking for trunk lips and all vendors are selling the same exact "DTM STYLE" thing. I understand the whole gotta pay to play thing but being a smart businessman Im not gonna let myself get ripped off either.

Back on topic- as of now, I have row airboxes, long tube headers with all cats deleted, resonator replaced with mbh x pipe, and the stock mufflers, all tied together with a eurocharged tune. Obviously I want to do the stage 3 weistec route as much as the next guy, but with a lot of big events happening in my life (new business, family, wedding etc) budget wise the whole build is out of question for now. Smaller stuff however, I can get done.

So far my mod fever wishlist includes;
-Weistec valvebody upgrade
-Weistec spark plugs
-proper dyno tune w/ eurocharged
-limited slip diff (maybe)

I want to get my heads ported as well, but the current ones available are out of the question for now. Perhaps I should look into a reputable local machining/engine building shop?

Any recommendations for mods? I would really like to be at the 500 rwhp mark. Have done a few weight reduction work as well, and going to experiment with removing the rear seats. Goal is to eventually track the car at the drag strip every now and then, but overall the car is just a fast cruiser that I drive 2k miles a year.

Since you're looking to get the heads ported, I would look at replacing the head bolts and while the heads are off, have them ported/polished. Knock two birds out with one stone and your engine will be "issue free" in the future for headbolt problems. That's probably what I am going to do.

Agreed, I do have plans to have the head bolts swapped sometime after i cross the 20k miles mark and probably do the heads at the same time!

IMO, your car looks sick....I actually look at it and drool each time and have been following your progress...Performance wise, pushing the engine before headbolts is not wise. Move up 1 at a time being headbolts and plugs first. Porting heads? eeehhhhh....

THe weistec valve body upgrade is useless unless you have a blower

I was on instragram yesterday and eurocharged were doing a cam install on a NA c63
Maybe look at that option

I wouldnt be game enough to port heads unless it was a cnc head machine doing the job or you could just buy the weistec heads

Happy modding

I'd install the head bolts and LSD first, both mods will complement any future mods you install

Im in the same place. It seems the only logical items are weight related.... Power wise nothing aside from nitrous or a blower seems worth it after bolt ons... I wish somebody made aggressive cams.
Definitely doing race seats and a lightweight battery, mb has a lithium battery in the new gt, i like the fact that it's oem over braille but im sure dollar to weight ratio isnt cheap either.

Not all DTM style spoilers are the same. Different CF style parts from different vendors may look the same but that's about it. There are literally hundreds of different factories making the same style item. Of course with that there is a huge range in quality across the board. They all may look the same from 3+ feet away but up close you can see the difference, different quality CF fabric, clearcoat, ect.

The reason I find the valve body upgrade/ tcu tune package appealing is because of the faster shift times and with the increase in power with the mods i have now maybe I can extend the life of the transmission? I understand about how it can be over kill, but then again I do plan on eventually doing either nos or a blower so when the time comes id have it already!

I saw the eurocharged UK post as well, and asked but no reply...
Its probably wiser to just get the weistec ones

I agree with that, unknowingly I've done a handful of weight saving stuff- lighter forged wheels, resonator, secondary cat, and primary cat deletes, not ashamed to admit that I drive around without my spare tire and related accessories (unless i go on a road trip), and Ive read in places that removing the rear seats saves 40 some pounds! Being fully lowered on coils and with 275 tires on 19" wheels, I can't even ride around with any passengers in the rear so i don't need em anyways haha
