Help! Coilover c63 amg W204 H&R comparison BC ER Type
Hi Gang,
I am new to the forum, had my c63 amg 2010 w204 for 2 yearsnow and I am ready to change the suspension. My ultimate goal, if possible isto get a softer ride but sportier steering, but mainly going to improvehandling and steering with ride quality coming in second.
I am so lost in this forum and my research due to my lack oftechnical knowledge and could really use help!
I originally was looking into buying the H&R coiloversfor $1225 as I do not want to spend 5k on the VWs and these seem to be commonlyused throughout the threads.
But I read a lot of posts about issues or minor parts neededfor camber adjustment for this install to be smooth.
I also am considering a more expensive option of the BC ERtype coilovers, which are 30 way dampening adjustable for $1900. This is asmuch as I would want to spend, I do not track my car but want as much DDlivability as possible with increase handling/performance but reviews andexperiences with these seem limited.
I thought I would get H&R but then came across some verypositive articles on BC ER types, I know the BR types are cheaper and get someflack for being oriented more for tuners but the ER seems like a middle rangecoilover system?
I want to know what people recommend I should get, I am onlylooking to drop the car 1.5 Inches, nothing extreme so I am not sure if therear camber will even be an issue with a minimal drop?
Does anyone have experience with the ER type or BC ingeneral in comparison to H & R? I really want to improve the handling ofthe car first, then ride quality second.
I ride on 19 inches, 235/35/19 front 265/30/19 rear.
It appears the BCs come with Camber Plates and its 30 waydampening 7k front 13k rear spring rate.
Could not get specs on H&R but I assume it will bestiffer, am I going to get strong performance increase from these? Or am Ibetter off with adjustable where I can great increase or decrease dampeningwith similar spring rates?

If you are still shopping around, The Fortune Auto 500 series is a good setup for daily driving and semi track.

You can even choose the spring rates to suit your application.
I have sold a few to c class and C63 guys and they love it.
