Winters coming, best snow chains?

Just like the title says. Winter is coming in the northeast, and I want to get some chains for the tires.

I really had my heart set on these, but unable to find a speed rating. Presumably I need Z rating?

http://www.labonville.com/Tire-Chain...ucks_c_28.html

Or can I get a lower rating if I don't exceed that speed? I don't see the need to go much faster than 100 with the chains on.

Does anyone sell a ski conversion for the front wheels? I think that might be better than studded tires.

It's for my 2011 C63.

Thanks guys.

Seriously.. are you insane.. if you have the need to have chains on your tires.. then you are probably not going faster than 50mph, and even that is seriously pushing it.

Also, check your local state laws related to chains, they are not permitted universally.

Must be trolling.

Ski conversion for front wheels?

100 mph with chains on?

Audi RS6 in the avatar? But driving the c63 in the winter? What?

Listen, if this isn't trolling.. I just, I just don't even know.

Get hakkapeliitta tires and be done with it.

Just bringing some levity to a boring day :P

No, I'm not serious.

I can't drive the RS6 as it's entirely too powerful for anything but dry asphalt I'm afraid, but I have a dedicated winter car.

RS6's are pathetically slow, you should get yourself a little jeep for the winter so you don't hurt yourself

Best brand of tire chains for a C63 would be an AMG ML63. That chain design eats up snow drifts and ice when combined with high performance all season tires such as the Pirelli scorpion M + S.

The more snow we get, the more I forget that I'm not a rally car driver.

The RS6 is far from stock, the clutch makes it very difficult to drive with any sort of precision. I don't use the C63 for anything but storming around rural NY. Both are "Just for fun" cars.

I was kidding with the thread, sort of an unofficial, "Hey, how you guys doing" sorta thing

I'm more of a lurker by nature.
