Need ADVICE from current c63 owners w/ 6.2l engine
take my advice from an older guy, DONT DO IT. you are not in the position to own this car financially. you are financing through your father and have no expenses. 6 years is a long time.
how about buying a used a45 instead, cheaper and almost the same. in 5 years, come back and look at getting a clean example of a 507 or a great used w205 c63. dont blow your wad on this car right now

If you're smart enough to afford an AMG, you should be smart enough to calculate monthly fuel cost from there.

PS - As has been stated earlier, if you're worried about fuel cost at all, you're looking at the wrong car.

I have to admit, though, I was in a similar situation as OP back in February except I had the money to purchase out right. I'm 25, still living at home with my parents, but the choice was to either put the money toward down payment to purchase a condo or to yolo and buy a C63. I guess you can figure out what decision I made...lol never regretted it since! I also purchased a 2008 335xi as a daily driver a month after, call me crazy lol. However, I planned my future before the purchase. My parents don't have a problem with me staying with them for another 2 years, and I calculated that I'll have enough saved by the time I'm 27 to purchase a condo.
OP - just plan out your future. I'm surprised your father is willing to put the loan under his name. That kind of long term loan would tarnish a person's credit. I guess it's a good thing for you since it wouldn't harm yours. Even then, I could never see myself tied to a 6 year car loan. I always tell myself, buy what you can afford. I bought my first car when I was 18 (civic 1999), and continued selling/upgrading cars since with the money I had. Maybe try doing the same?

I'm not sure why you would want to sell your condo that's being currently rented out? If it covers the costs of the mortgage that you're paying per month and you're getting profit from it, then keep it. It's an investment that will earn you more money in the long run. If I were you I'd continue to work (while getting additional profit from my tenants) and wait until I have enough money for the C63.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
but even nowadays fully loaded dodge caravans are like 40-50k ! this car is the same price minus the maintenance. I am buying USED after all not like im wanting to finance a brand new c63.
I think I have all the knowledge and advice now, I'm just continuing to rant to justify my actions which is stupid. Thanks everyone.
I dont know I think im going to pull the trigger on monday. or just buy a cheaper car like bmw 323i leased.
Owning the c63 is definitely and experience that you can't replace with anything else, I don't regret it at all, i would definitely look for a better price or put a down payment down because for 1,200 a month you can own a Nissan GT-R and that in itself is a different experience.
I know its hard to accept but if you are asking how much running one costs do NOT buy that vehicle or it will end up sitting needing parts or seized. Save up for a large down payment and much lower monthly payments. 👍

You need to accept a few things:
1. Gas is going to suck the first 6mo you have the car. There is something about that cold start grunt that gets your blood pumping every mkrning befire work.
2. Tickets are expensive so be realistic and set aside a few beans for a good radar detector or your going to get a ticket.
3. Preventative Maintenance is high, but it's alot cheaper than repairs. Just just budget for it.
4. AMGS are a ***** magnet. So be prepared to beat all those horny little brats off your car every time you leave work or the mall. I tend to carry a stick with me so I can scare them off like raccoons! Lol
5. Stop trying to tame your addiction. That's why we're all on this forum... we take turns sharing our moments like it's an AA meeting. It's beautiful =)
But that's all I've got, welcome to the family and Happy car shopping.
Oh and let us know if you need help breaking in that new whip. I promise I'll only smoke the tires until the swelling goes down.
