Tinting windshield
my car is silver and i wanted to give it that really aggressive "sharpie" black tint on the windshield. i know you guys have seen it before... but my tint guy bursted my bubble by saying if i were to get into an accident, insurance could deny my claim? i figured he was telling the truth.. so i opted for a really light film over the front instead.
anyone ever hear of this?

I was thinking of going maybe 35% or 50% tint on the windshield but realized that 35% is pretty dark at night and visibility would be really bad for me.. 50% feels too light but might get the job done in blocking some sunlight out.

I had 50% on my S4. It is a good balance of UV ray protection and looks. THat being said I didnt get pulled over for 3 years then all of a sudden I got pulled over 4X in 2 years @ $150 each time. Understand that windshield tint tickets are not cheap.
Ask me if my C63 has a tinted windshield... No it does not.

I had 50% front and 15% all around. i live in somewhat busy area and was getting pulled over 3 out of 5 trips i made to work and works is 2.2miles from my house.
Looks great but its a pain to deal with cops every other day and waist your time for 30min for tint.

First, I love tint! That said, I cannot urge you to enough to reconsider. I know it looks cool and blocks heat but it is Illegal to put any film below the AS1 line in all 50 states. Bigger issue is that if you get in an accident, you can get crucified. I know this first hand. Insurance will not cover you as you will get his with Punitive damages. Just saying it is not a good idea. Good luck and be safe.
