M5?
If you live in the snow e63s would be amazing for year round use.

just curious, why not a 13? did they do an update?
OP, iam in the same boat as you (leaning more towards the m6/cls63) so much power from both tt v8's... and with a tune both are taking down some very impressive cars. m5 board has some very knowledgeable guys. check it out. where is the cls63 side of this forum??

And I agree that the CLS forums are a little light. This C63 group is definitely the most active. You want to see tumbleweeds? Check out the G55/63 forum!

As pointed out by someone out above, I am not a Brand Loyalist - I like ALL cars. If a manufacturer builds a fast and nice looking car I'm on board no matter who makes it. IMHO, the CTS-V is looking pretty good, but let's see how it does once in the real world with real people behind the wheel.

The E63 is also a nice option, but you'll find the M5 to be a better perfomance driving car vs the E63. However, you can make the E63 into one mean drag racer, especially the AWD version. However, during non drag racing scenarios, I've noticed that the M5 seems to have more legs from mid to top vs the E63 even if both equally modified and also in stock form. Can't really go wrong with either the M5 or E63; either would be an upgrade over the C63. The M6 is nice, but I don't really like it as much as the M5.

You can find some decently priced 2013 units and/or a few 2014 CPO. Either way, tuned, downpipes (not cats), exhaust and filters is all you need to run some crazy numbers and shock many exotics.

Don't worry for asking about an M5 in this forum, true car guys will not give you any grief over it. Only those brand loyalist/Fan boys will get their panties in a wad - but who cares what they think.

Hope this helps

I would pick the RS7 over the M5 but then M6 grancoupe and then M5. They are very fast and nice. The RS7 with tune is a MONSTER.

a 14 m5 is now actually cheaper than a 14 e63s (within 100mi of me at least)
OP a M5 is a different category compared to the C63. It is heavy, comfy and can be fast. I test drove one and was not impressed. I prefer the responsiveness of the E63S. I cannot talk about the RS7 but for sure it is a nice looking car. Someone mentioned the new CTS-V. Is that car released yet?
One way to figure out would be to test drive all of them and decide.

Well, like you said: just your 2 cents.
