How many cooling fans
How many fans does the 2012+ C63 have?
When I drive hard I know the big fan up front turns on but every once in a while I have a powerful sounding (like a vacuum) fan sound turn on and I hear the loud sound from it right at the passenger side lower vent (where a fog light would go in other cars). If I put my hand in front of it I can feel the air blowing around from there.
Is that a separate fan? or just a channel the main fan is pulling air from? It is pretty loud in and outside the car from that right hand side.
Side note: I have searched and been reading a lot on here. Seems that everyone has their coolant temps always sitting between 197 and 200F regardless of outside temps. Mine was like that until the weather outside cooled down and now it will drop to 185F sometimes lower especially when driving hard on the higheway but the second I am in stop and go traffic it goes back to normal. Just wondering if I have a possible therm issue or if this is normal in 50F weather. I like to think my car is cooling well but i never had a car read lower temps to the point where the digital readout changes and the needle also dips to the 80C mark.
