I would still be driving the W205 if it wasn't a pc of garage from quality..... the dash is literally falling in my lap..... i know that sounds strong.... but the long amplitude sqeeeeek from dip to dip is just not MB quality........ i had 100K miles fox body mustangs with nary a squeak like this..... If it was not for the funky dash noises I'd still be driving that car. agreed on all points on the w204.... steering, handling, accell N/A much more engaging. headers/tune in the future. High 11's will be fine for me. Thx all for the comments. I'm sure the w205 will be fine once all the bugs are sorted.
Man, dumping the car off to the wife because of a dash squeak. Tough crowd! Lol. Welcome back to the 204. At least you still have the 205 in the family for when you feel the urge.

thx max... yeah she was kind enough to bail me out.
I was actually heading to the dealer to buy a 507ed.... when I had a change of heart to buy the w205..... this works out in the end.
I spend half a day trying to locate the squeeking...... pulled part of the dash apart, kick-panel, and also dove into the fire wall engine bay pulling strut tower/firewall support braces....... with no luck. It's coming from the HUD area.
The warranty is up on the w204 in 20 mo's... then mod time begins.

Haven't driven one but the interior looks amazing on the 205 (ignoring the ipad). Exterior not so much.

i could be wrong but i think its just North american models that are assembled outside affalterbach/Stuttgart however the engines are still made there as always

Now my wife want's her car back.... her w204.... so I might be trading this w205 in for a 507ed...... she'll let me know after this week is up....... she says the w205 is just not the same... it's fast.... but that's about all she likes about it so far.

There is a matte silver 507 ed @ MB North Houston....... I 'might' be unloading the w205.... up to her.... then she'll get her white 2014 c63 back... and I'll grab the 14 matte silver 507 coupe.
Yeah she's a perfect fit for a gear-head like me...... I bought one of these stealth ebikes that goes 50mph...... and she was jealous...... so I got her a used one.... and she's all excited now.

She sounds great.
My car is the '14 matte platinum 507 coupe -- It's a really nice color, have to hand-wash of course since it's matte but I've always preferred washing my cars myself.
My wife's 'cars' are all about size, Suburban, Merc GL 450, basically, the Texas station wagon.... She surprised me when she bought a big scooter (basically a Vespa) on impulse, but so far she's stayed out of the speed zone -- probably a good thing for us all....
