A shorter tire is easy to try and inexpensive, this should be the next move... make one change at a time. stage shallow.

I would try slightly above idle. 1200 to 1500 rpm. Just enough to take some slack out of the drivetrain while still being able to get a little flash out of the converter. Go around the water box and back into the water so not to get any water on the front tires. Also, tire pressures are very important and are dependent on track conditions. I always like to start at 20 psi and go from there, which is usually down until the car hooks. And always check your pressure after a run and adjust because they will be up a pound or two. Do a good burnout and have fun.

If you can get a 1.50 on that 60' I think you can run 9's without adding anything else to the car.

Get the torque converter that will get you off the line harder. Without it I doubt you will drop a .1 on the 60' unless you drop weight and try a smaller tire.

Get a race battery, remove front pass and rear seats.

Try trailering the car out there too. The heat soak from driving out there will cost you.

How has the TCU upgrade been working out? I've been thinking I should do it try to get the most life out of the clutches.

My comment regarding MBH was directly from the tuner. This was not my opinion, just what he said. It seemed to be his reason for not having any interest in looking further in to my car.
not sure if this was directed at me? but i'm in dallas texas. tcu works good. Not going to say it's night and day different but noticeable. My trans only lasted about 15kmi before giving me troubles. I've got around 10k since the rebuild (stock internals) and tcu upgrade. So we'll see if it holds up any longer this go around soon.

It feels very stock mate, the car is still very beautiful to drive daily.
