You should be fine because your on 20's, tire profile is much smaller than 19's. But that's an interesting set up! Any pics?

That was vague but there's MB OE (German Paint) Glasurit/BASF, Standox. OE MB will also approve PPG (US based), Spies Hecker (German). So you start from there and find a good painter with skill to match.
Quote:
the correct way to match a color is to locate code, and choose the best variance to the color. obviously in the end the painter is the deciding factor. his technique needs to be right for the color to layout correctly.

Ernst, waiting for my shop to get back to me regarding the price of the install.
So, lets say we all get the deposits together by Nov 15 (for sake of argument), are we to expect 8-Weeks (Max) for Production, coupled with another 2~ Weeks for Shipping and Clearance, and another 1 Week for it to ship from you to arrive in our hands?

Phil, HMS was able to give me an estimated schedule. They are still getting back to me with the production time of 7 sets. I also need a specific MY, and waiting on coupe fitment. (Coupe owners may need to use the sedan rear fender kit and fuse the door panel card into the main flare). Please keep in mind that these are rough estimates and shipping/customs may delay due to weather, etc but it shouldn't be off by too much from the original estimated time.
I can assume everyone wants them in their hands as soon as possible but most of us (including myself) are still looking at ordering custom/different wheels and looking at tire options.
We're good so far on the 7 interested, I have 3 more people interested via PM but waiting on their response. 7 is max for first order, but if we are waiting for others to deposit and that is keeping us from placing the order. I can fall back to the original 5 ordered sets, lets set the deposit deadline to DEC. 1st

For manufacturing even 7 sets I guess we would need some more time since we only have one mold for it.
Further we are heading to Christmas season where we are closed from December 23 until probably January 10 (at least until January 6).
Since you also no would need some time to collect the money, I assumed to receive your payment until November 20.
Concerning Christmas holidays my estimate for shipping was January 22.
At about one week shipping time the flares should arrive until January 29.
I still have to negotiate with the manufacturing team about their estimate for manufacturing 7 sets.
I also have to point to the fact that the flares will fit to the C63 model before facelift (until 10/2012).
At newer (facelift) models, the bumper is different and therefor one of the parts has to be reworked a bit.
Is there any of you orders for the new model?
If so I will check for more details and if we already may manufacture some sets different.

This is perfect. I was already looking at getting a new set of wheels for the new season mind as well get them in a better size. Saw this post a little too late but either someone decides not to get in on this first batch. Count me in!

I'm very tempted and it seems like a second group might be feasible from the demand.
Would anyone have a recommendation to a reputable body shop in the DC/VA/MD area for this project? I'm very nervous about quality/longevity and color matching

Ernest, please remove me from the list.
It'll vary for everybody, depending on the quality of work and everything, however, for something like this, where it involves cutting and moulding it into the body for hte best OEM+ look, I've been quoted around $4000USD to get it all done properly.
Painted, Cut, Car Door/Fender/Bumper painted to Match, and Moulded into the body.
Too much for what I want, apologies Ernst, best of luck to your GB!
(This is a top dollar shop in HK, nothing but the best. For work like this, I Could probably find somewhere to do it cheaper, like 1/2 the price, but I'm not cutting corners on something as large of a task as this!)

It will vary mostly by location and shop to shop. I am doing the install off the side with a professional body shop buddy and I will not be molding the fenders. Molding the fenders onto the body will be much more of a bigger job.

Depending on who sends the deposits first, once the full deposits for the 7 sets are in. It will be locked in. Any orders added on will be considered the second order and those will not process until they hit 6-7 sets.Originally Posted by raz3091

Sorry, I am near Chicago, IL. Wish I could help, showing them the install video posted on the 1st page will give the body shop a good idea on what to do. Paint matching, I should stick with OE or OE approved paint (PPG) by the factory #color code, also shopping around your local body shops and checking reviews is a must.

Personally, i'd look into a wider wheel to be honest.
Well, from my calculations:
19x10 +25 is what they recommend.
That is the same as running:
19x10.5 +31
19x11 +37
19x11.5 +43
19x12 +49
In terms of OUTER CLEARANCE
Now, assuming that 19x10 +52 is the closest we can get to the inner strut without rubbing, that means:
19x10.5 +31 (+15MM Inner Clearance)
19x11 +37 (+2MM Inner Clearance)
19x11.5 +43 (-10MM Inner Clearance)
19x12 +49 (-22MM Inner Clearance)
So, it looks like we could potentially run:
19x10 +25
19x10.5 +31
19x11 +37
All of these wheels fit 100% the same in terms of OUTER CLEARANCE, with a slight variation on inner clearance.
Problem is though, a 315/25/19 or 325/25/19 tire does NOT exist according to my Google Searches and Tire Rack Searches. Which, brings another issue in hand, what tire do you run with a 19x10.5 or a 19x11?
I'm guessing all of these specs are with the stock ride height?Originally Posted by Phil Chow

hey I want the bs liner aswell
Stock or lowered 20-25mm or 1" inch (Average)
Depending on the width/tire size as well. If it clears the brake calipers and clears the inner strut housing/wheel well. It will clear at any height.

Ok guys I got an update from HMS.
For MY2012+ FL Sedans. There is a crimp or ridge that is slightly different from the PFL models. It will need slight adjustment. (I have a MY2012+ Rear bumper awaiting to be mounted, I will try and take pictures of the difference between PFL vs FL)
They are saying its not a big enough change to where it needs extensive modification. Note, this part is only on the rear bumper card/extension.
ALSO BIG NEWS!!!!!
There is a C63 MY2012+ Coupe that will be a test mule for them sometime this month. Which means, they will develop a specific coupe wide fender kit.
They are expected to have them ready in January so it will ship out with our first initial order! More updates soon!
