WTB: HRE :D
I know it's a long shot, but I'm itching the idea of selling my oem multispokes for something more flashy lol
Looking for a used set of HRE in 19's but rear must be 19x10 +50. I would refinish them brushed red since most of the set in the used market seems to be black finish (I'm not a fan of black wheels)
20's is nice but finding the right size in PSS is almost impossible .. And with all the back ordered with Michelin, it makes it even harder.
U can PM or post here with what u have

you can buy falken FK453s in 20s they make basically any size upto 305 ..i had the PSS in 20's was like driving on slicks..had very little tread brand new..the falkens have a bit more meat with the tire ..plus ordering the PSS takes forever as you know, the falkens ive always had within a few days

I played around with the idea of red wheels on white. Saw some pics of the white c with bright red split 5 spokes and it was overpowering for me.

So I agree brushed red is bold, but it would be my back up set .. And with 2 sets of HRE from different finishes, I would have no more excuses to change wheels

you're on the east coast i'd highly recommend hitting up zook @ simply tire .. zook@simplytire.com ..even if it's not falkens he can find any size and get them quick ..i have that same combo but a bit wider on the rear (285/25/20) i actually bought the last set of falkens from the mercedes dealer so maybe try them because this was only 2-3 months ago and the tires had to come in from Toronto
What are ur wheels specs Avery? 20x10 +53? Any rubbing?

I feel like all our talk about wheels recently has gotten u excited about new wheels haha. I understand completely, changing wheels is like getting a completely new look to a car.
Which model of HREs are u after this time? I know what u mean by black wheels, I had the black oem multi spoke on my last 63 as u remember and now black again on my stock black series wheels. My HREs will satin bronze. Something different (at least in Tokyo) on a matte silver car too.
Can u get pss on 19's easily? 20" looks soooo good but I know the stress of getting rubber and the right profile size. Good luck finding some used HREs buddy!

vorsteiner actually has some decent wheels out for not insanely expensive prices right now..not sure if these are your style https://www.flickr.com/photos/vorste...57653794955422 but i know simply tire is selling them for i think 3.5 kish with tires
i'd probably go with 19s though instead of 20s then just lower the car a tad if possible...20s get beat even if you're careful, and the day you do curb them you'll probably almost cry ..hitting small pot holes..well it makes me cringe lets just say that..you can't always avoid them

Black wheels shows dirt & dust too much that's why I prefer to stay away from that finish
Satin bronze will look perfect on ur matte car, anything glossy would look odd. Can't wait to see the wheels installed.
19's definitely has more choice in sizing & brands. 275/30/19 PSS is back ordered but I got all winter long to order them if I have to. At least I know they are available.

The car is away for the winter. Bored and restless already...lol
GL finding the wheels you want and the red finish will be very bold. Winter is a great time to do mods for spring launch. I will be following along with interest.

20x8.5 front + 20x10.0 rear with +45 offset ...it doesn't rub too often only if im really pushing the car around corners that have weird dips and such but then again i never have people in the back the seats are always down..im guessing if you put 2-3 people in the back all the time it'd rub a bit

The Vorsteiner are nice but flow formed are still not comparable to forged wheels.

U are running 20x10 +45 with 285/25/20 & hardly rub? Are u sure it's +45 & not +50? I wouldn't mind running 20's cuz my car is hardly driven, but I don't want to rub with 285 PSS & don't want to mis-matched front PSS & rear 275 Nitto for example.

Do you have a pic of the P44SC on a white C63? They probably are the same red if both are original from HRE.
What do you think of the Candy Apple Red on the MRR FS01 in the Need4Speed thread?

Was it brushed red or just Powdercoated gloss red? I can't seems to find that thread .. Red of silver is a bit off though, matches better with black or white cars.

Look here bro & tell me if it's the same finish, I prefer the dark red finish over the P44SC bright red but it could be the lighting.
As for MRR, they do look great but again the color is hard to judge from the studio pics, it would be nice to see it on a car with real life pics
