LMAO then it's not a true drivers car is it? And the ACR is not that hard to drive, but it is anything but a true drivers car. Not even close. A drivers car by definition means something you can drop into and have fun driving. The ACR is not one of those cars.

it takes actual skill to get the power out of it. i never said or implied it was for the street. i didn't even read that op wanted a weekend car. all i saw was turbo or viper.

Both cars are pretty easy to drive fast. The Porsche even more so, but on the track where the ACR lives, it's not a hard car to drive fast. The last 8/10's yes, but that's true for most if not all track cars.

yes, the viper does look like every other viper . but i guess i have to break it down to you since it boggles your brain.

You said the Porsche looks like every other Porsche, and I said that the Viper looks like every other Viper. Your comments boggle my mind because you don't have a single clue on these cars, not because "a Porsche looks like any other Porsche".

why would i spend 180k on a turbo s when it looks just like a 80k carrera?

That's your personal preference

and no, yes i own a c63, and yes it looks exactly like a c250, but i sure as hell didn't drop 180k on it, nor did i buy it for sticker. two completely different caliber price points.

I don't care and I didn't ask, but kudos for throwing in something that had nothing to do with the topic at hand.

a viper has always had crazy styling. there's nothing flashy on a porsche, and if i'm dropping 180k, you bet your *** i want to be seen.

That's entirely your prerogative. Apparently, you feel the need to be noticed. Nothing totally insecure about that statement at all.
Well ok then.

Why not go with the Viper TA instead of the ACR if you are looking for something that can be tracked and is still fun on the street?

I bought a 911 turbo after I already owned a viper. The Porsche lasted a year and I sold it, the viper won't be going anywhere. It's the car that puts the big grin on my face. Of course, everyone's opinions are different.

The TA is the better street car for sure over the ACR. What year was your Porsche? The TA is a fun car.

Take that black series and use that. It's much better than the Viper, but if you want, take it down to the dealership so that they know that you are not playing around and take a viper for a test drive. You will have fun. I have done that at times, go down to the dealership and test drive cars on my days off.

I have driven and ran it on the track. Have you ever driven one at all? Or are you on these forums to give out bogus advice on things you know nothing about, because "you want to be seen" because clearly that's what you're doing. I have road and track experience with the car. You do not.
Here is a link for you, get help with having someone to read it for you if you're unable.

Scroll down to where it says "easy to drive fast".

Get it? Got it?
Good!

Worst part is, he succeeded.
My guess is English isn't this guys first language.

Why is this thread in the Mercedes forum? Shouldn't it be on a Dodge or Porsche forum...or 6speed...
