AMG is doing it wrong.
So, this is the new gle coupe 63s with plastic exhaust tip and no quad exhaust. This is only adjustifible if you're buying an cheap eco box but this is an AMG ffs. Hiring that Hyundai designer definitely is not the right direction for Mercedes.
Why did I post it in the c63 forum? Because w205 amg is like that as well

Even better, here is the mighty Veyron's exhaust:
Reason they do this is for a cleaner finish. Our 'real' exhaust tips leave a gap around them and the diffuser/bumper. The fake way it's a cleaner finish and eliminates exhaust vibration/heat transfer to the bumper.
Every manufacturer is doing this now

it isn't about price..benz can slap it on there for you..but what happens if you back up into a pole on accident and screw up your exhaust? you'll go in there screaming..I mean the current exhaust system already has issues with staying in place..if you guys don't believe me go take a look ...even sam i am exhaust passenger side is hanging..it's obvious too..its because the brackets become loose after awhile there isn't suppose to be much of a gap between the diffuser and the tips

But the lack of quality in the details was killing me.
Issues with mine: drivers side plastic side panel fell off.... side skirts fell off...... after weeks of work (on my dime/time), and 1 trip to dealer could NOT nail down and fix a niggling old bed spring center dash squeak/creak.
I'm so glad I'm back in a vault like W204 with real ex tips.
I really tried to like it... even gave it to my wife.... and after a few days she wanted her W204 BACK.
The squeaking dash, and the light wgt doors, and the offset ex tips....... just not my taste.
And I have to admit.... the fact it was assembled in Alabama.... roll-tide land just really killed it for me.

But it's not build quality, it's designed that way. Build quality is not meeting the design /engineering specification, requirements. It's basically a poor design (beyond the aesthetics).
