Ok. Whatever. Point is, the gear-type LSD is not better than the mechanical clutch or plate type as the OEM unit. Guy.

I need a lsd anyways, and since my car is already at the shop getting the stage 2 done its a good time to get it done! To clarify, my choices are a brand new p31 lsd installed for $1000 or a wavetrack plus labor.

Is the $800-1000 price difference worth the difference between OEM and wavetrack?

I remember seeing a roller test of a Wavetrac vs Quaife on a BMW. It was impressive but I can't find it anymore.

Edit: I wasn't commenting on OE clutch type vs Wavetrac. I disagreed that the Wavetrac was only marginally better than the Quaife under a zero axle load situation.
